I saw a similar issue but the only comment was Cricket would reach out to that customer.
On the phone app, I go to voicemail and it only shows “call voicemail”.
when called it would say this person does not have voicemail setup.
The Cricket setup instructions say to hold 1 from the keypad and it doesn’t work either.

I found a solution after rebooting. I turned on airplane mode for awhile and turned off airplane mode which resolved. I had found the answer in other searches.
