DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.When I signed up with Cricket and purchased a new phone about 2 months ago, I assumed it would work like other cell phone companies - they add an additional amount to your monthly bill until it's paid off. I was told they use a lease-to-own program. No problem. But when I looked at my Progressive Leasing account to check my progress, I saw that I was in a 12-month contract. What?! I am paying about $100 per month for a phone that cost $499. That doesn't add up. Then, I saw that the total amount I would pay would be around $1,200. Insane!! That’s more than a 50% interest rate. The files I signed mentioned nothing about this. My only option is to pay off a lesser amount in 90 days. I’m trying, but I recently lost one of my part-time jobs.I feel tricked and trapped. Cricket should NOT be using this company. Other companies such as Best Buy and Mayfair use them and they should not. Check their profile on the Better Business Bureau website and you will see many sim
I ordered a phone online in April through Affirm. I also returned in April. I have been on the phone with every department for at least over an hour each time with no resolution. Has anyone else had trouble getting a refund through Cricket? I honestly think someone there just refunded the money to their personal card because every time an agent looks it up it says the refund was processed in store.
Help me understand this, I have the money for my bill. I asked you had a grace period, you say no and offer me bridge pay. Paying half now and half later. I say I don't need to do that and I have the money. Ok next day I get a text message stating you will process the payment through autopay.....I'm going to work when you send a message saying the payment didn't go through but I didn't see this until 2a this morning when you suspended my damn account. I'm a truck driver, I can't afford crap like this happening. That processing error is your mistake and I'm not paying an extra 15/16 dollars for your messed up software. Even in the text sent after, it said to pay $116.. call 611 and youve tacked on an extra fee. The hell, why am I paying an extra fee and its a day late..... and you conveniently suspended my account. What type of company does that to their customers. To say I'm unhappy is an understatement.
When I had set up the Autopay for cricket's service, it was three(3)days in advance, it claimed I had to do it only "2 days in advance", just a very day it was due, it text prompted me the auto pay was canceled, right away just less then an hour my data, text AND calling was dropped. On a Sunday which the auto teller on 611 claimed they were closed because it was Sunday, then I had to pay both $5 and the $4 instore fee on Monday. I was like WTF!?... No grace period of a reduced service plan to minimum or any extended after days charge to reactivate, without shutting g service down. In a COVID crisis, this was Outrageous!
Cricket overcharged me last month and instead of refunding the money, said that I wouldn’t be charged for the following month. (May). But I was charged. So I went to the Cricket Store and was told that I had to call Cricket as the store could not help me. I call the Cricket line and was told that they couldn’t help me I would have to call my bank and have them do a charge back. I call my bank and wait on hold for an hour just to be told that they couldn’t do anything, that it had to come from Cricket. I call Cricket back and am told that they cannot help me but offered to do a 3-way call with my bank (yes, the one I had to stay on hold for an hour in order to talk to a human.) So I am considering looking into another carrier but first I need to get my money back. Do I need to quit autopay and just eat the $5 or does anyone know how I can get ahold of an English speaking American human who can strighten this out for me? Or is it all just India Call centers and robots?
Cricket Does Not care about Their Customers,I should Listened and Went to Boost mobile,I don’t know what they have done, but my service sucks now,and My Family is laughing at me now because I choose Cricket. They Have 2 months service pardoned, and Cricket Want there money no matter what ,along with any relief funds they can get got there company just Greedy and unsympathetic. I’ve been a customer for over 10 yrs.Do you think they care No,I don’t even ask for a pardon, just a discount or something.I pay $80 monthly.I can’t work,I have no income now,None. This is really Depressing.I AM VERY DISAPPOINTED!!!
I have 3 lines. My uncle, who is poor, lives in SF, Calif and let his Cricket service lapse. I want to add his phone to my plan. Also he already has an iPhone with a Cricket SIM in it (prior, but no current, service on that SIM). I have his IMEI and ICCID numbers. When I chatted w/Cricket their CSR said they'd have to sell me a new SIM which he'd have to install.Does anyone know how true this is? I’ll pay the “activation fee” or “fee fee” or whatever, but he’s not techy and I’d rather him not have to mess with his SIM.
I have been a loyal customer for over 15 years and upgraded my phone a few times without any problems until now. I bought a phone online late November and returned it within the 7 day limit (without activation, without inserting new sim card). When trying to return phone, the return shipping label did not arrive as promised. I ended up on phone with claims dept. and they sent me the shipping label and assured me that they would refund the purchase price when phone was received in new condition and that another dept. would process the refund for the $25 fee. There was nothing wrong with phone - I just did not like that it did not come with a wall charger (it had the kind of charger that must be plugged into a laptop or TV which won’t work for me.) I received a return confirmation email early December confirming receipt of phone and telling me that the amount of the refund would be the full amount I paid (the phone plus tax plus the $25 fee) and it would arrive within 10 business days. I
Why is it that when I use the online system to pay my bill earlier than the due date, I see that my amount due has been doubled? It should say that I only owe $58.00, but it shows $116.00 instead. I have never missed a payment. I don't understand this. Please explain.
I did a bridge payment then tried to pay the remainder on my cricket app, i ended up over paying $60. So i called Cs right away to have this corrected they told that it was now a credit on my account and if i wanted a refund i can call my bank have the payment reversed and they would approve it and then shut off my service..DOes this make any sense? I asked for the difference which was 60. my normal bill is 132 so on top of the 74 bridge i already paid, they will still disconnect my service and want me to call my bank and reverse it. then call back and pay again for another 30 days which cs told me would be 145 so more money than what i have over paid. isnt it ilegal to keep money that does not belong to cricket? and they want to force my $60 as credit? who can i call and report this to?anyother company would refund the difference of overpayment money that is not there’s to keep. I am furious on the poor CS. its simple cricket… refund my $60. ive been a customer for years.. YEARS!!
Last night, I decided to upgrade both phones on my account. I noticed that you could only upgrade one line at a time and proceeded to log out, refresh and log back in between transactions. I had encountered an error message during checkout with the second phone due to a "processing delay" for the transactions. I called customer service and explained the issue, they told me that they removed the delay, to refresh the page and put my card info in again and try to process the order again. I did so, got an another error saying that I exceeded the amount of times that my card could be used. Customer service told me to wait about an hour and try again. I hung up and called my bank to see if the first transaction went through, only to find that it did, and so did the second transaction TWICE.I called customer service again about the double charge, they told me to contact my bank and let them know about the second charge and that Cricket will authorize a stop-payment on the second charge. I ca
My service was supposed to be good until 11:59 pm. I paid in full at 11:39 pm. Then I find out that my account had already been suspended and a five dollar charge added. So when I added the CORRECT amount to keep my service turned on, my phone REMAINS deactivated until I pay the five dollar charge FOR YOUR MISTAKE. I refuse. Every second my phone remains deactivated is THEFT, because I was paying on time. FIX IT!I cannot believe I have my phone suspended because apparently some stupid F***up with daylight savings time. There is NO WAY to contact anybody in person to make them fix it. No real person to talk to anywhere. No phone service available, no non-bot chat. UNBELIEVABLE. ZERO customer service. What the hell is this bull****? The "chat" with "us" is actually a stupid bot that doesn't have the ability to fix anything. The contact numbers are offline at night, which is when these problems occur. AWESOME!So, now, I have no phone service. I've PAID for my damned phone service, ON T
So I wanted to just change my debit card # for auto payment. EASY, right?NOT! Not with effing Cricket!COuld not do it on the app. Could not do it on the web.Called them. Was asked to do it with the phone menu bot. I reluctantly and desperately went with that. But after giving the bot my # there was NO verification! Ridiculous! So I CALLED them.22 minute wait, AS ALWAYS!SO I gave up for today. Decided to go to their DO NOT CALL ME or share my info page.Got there, filled out the form. Went through the stupid “click all pictures of boats” b.s…THEN, guess what? The page does not submit the form! This should be illegal. You know damn well they KNOW it’s broken and prefer not to fix it.I am thinking I will report them to the Federal Trade Commission. Also, WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE!I am not exaggerating: One time I had a billing issue. It took me EIGHT calls, each one a half hour to an hour, to finally get it fixed. It was a SIMPLE thing! But the CSR’s are either completely devoid of brains or th
Short story: booted of the grandfathered 5 for $100 plan after one 3g line went into suspension. Now being charged $110 a month. Called 7 times today to try and resolve. Got the line back online and now they moved us to 5 lines for $125. First, never gave permission to move to a new plan. Now, they said I need to file a dispute. I thought I was able to do that online BUT it seems I have to fill out a form and mail it in. Why such a run around? I tried last night to talk with someone online and I was on there for over 1 ½ hours which lead nowhere. Was on the phone today for almost 2 hours. If we don’t get back on the old plan, we’re moving on. There has to be a better way to dispute then sending snail mail. I think they just bank on people being lazy to not mail it in.
I signed up for bridge pay because i was very short on cash and i paid 25 and last night i tried paying last 40 but instead they charged my card 65 because it was barely after midnight.. So that means i paid 90 for phone bill during a month im struggling to feed my kids.. Is there a way to make them make that right and at least give me my bridge pay back since i basically got screwed

This is my first month with cricket. Tried the bridgepay option and paid $30. Go in to pay the remaining balance this morning and they want me to pay the full bill of $85 even though I paid $30 only 7 days ago. Customer service was completely unhelpful and down right snotty with me. DO NOT BRING YOUR SERVICE HERE!!!! Im currently filing complaints with consumer affairs, the BBB and fraud dept. Their stealing our money during a pandemic when we can barely make ends meet! That's why we switched, thinking it would be cheaper, no! It isn't!! With metro we were paying $70 for 2 phones. Although service wasn't great where I live. Even the day we switched there was trouble! They didn't do the switch right and instead of getting free phones we ended having to accept their cheapest phones because we had to pay for the phones in the end. The sales girl messed up the port and caused us to pay, we were supposed to get a credit with one month free service which never happened. Customer service says
We have 5 phones on our plan and I just replaced one of the phones. Supposedly if you buy online there is no activation fee as is clearly stated. I have auto pay set up so they pulled out $25 less than the normal bill since I paid the $25 dollar activation fee when I bought the phone. This morning our phones were all not working. Cricket said I now owed $40 (25 for the money supposedly owed plus 15 reactivation). Has anyone else had this problem and is there anyone I can contact to get this fix? I can't believe even with auto pay they screwed this up so bad. Sad because I really like the service.
Cricket auto deducts their $35 every month on the 11th. I am told that my plan restarts is on the 13th of every month. The 2 days of data throttling is the issue.I have an appointment with the consumer division at our State Attorney Generals office to review the 2 days and file an investigation if possible. It the 2 day lag between paying and service redtorment normal to you? Thanks
