I am a cricket customer and have been for almost 4 years, I heard that cricket does device trade in on phones and that you can get credit for your old broke phones as long as the turn on and the screen works. Is this true?

I just bought my phone ten days ago and now I'm having trouble keeping charge .I have moto g 5g would I be able to switch to iphone 2nd gen
