So im currently on a friends plan because it was a little cheaper when i switched from boost. But id like to start my own solo plan, that way i know the bill will be paid when due. My dilemma here is, will i have to buy a new cricket sim card and pay an activation fee plus the initial monthly payment? Or can i keep my sim and number and just switch to a new plan?

Hello @Roadkill1321! Welcome to our Cricket Community Forum and thank you for your post. When transferring your line to your own account, you can keep your same phone number and SIM card. You will be charged a prorated amount to transfer the line to your new account.

When you are ready to transfer your line, you can visit your local Cricket store, contact our Customer Care team at 1-800-Cricket, or contact our Customer Support team via Facebook or Twitter. We will be sure to let you know how much is due at the time of transferring the line.
