Just another existing customer trying to get a new-customer deal. I’m looking into the iPhone XR from cricket, but its over $100 more as an existing customer. I plan on getting a cheap $15 prepaid line from T-Mobile, and porting that number over to cricket to get the iPhone. Then cancelling both the cheap tmobile line and line I used to get the iphone, and inserting my current sim. Has anyone had any experience doing something like this?

You can do this but you may need to get a new sim card due to the sim card will be activated to the line you port over.

What do you mean, why can’t I just use my current sim card? I plan on having the line fall off/canceling it, so I can use my current sim card/phone number.
