Just upgraded phone, have had Cricket service for years.  Why do I have to wait another 6 months to unlock the new phone.

@roch1103 Thank you for visiting and posting on the Cricket Community Forum! When purchasing a device at a discounted price the customer has to wait 6 months in order to unlock the device. If you have the previous device that you had before upgrading we can certainly unlock that device for you. You can PM/DM us on our National Facebook (m.me/cricketnation) or Twitter page (@cricketsupport) and include your wireless number, IMEI & 4-digit account pin to unlock the device.
