I was referred by my friend and got the following email.

Following the instructions on the email, I signed up for the cricket service. After receiving  the SIM card, I activated my service online. However, when I tried to enter the referral code received bu email, it says I am not eligible. I contacted Cricket customer service, but they said that I need to purchase my plan via a special link, which is not mentioned on the email or online. I was so disappointed: I followed every step on the intruction that I received, but I still can’t get the referral credit.

Hi Friend,

Your Cricket Wireless referral code is: NOT SHOWN HERE

Your code expires in 30 day(s).

Now what?

  1. Sign up for Cricket service at or visit a Cricket store.
  2. Activate your service and create an online account via My Account or the myCricket app.
  3. Enter your unique referral code, in My Account or the myCricket app in the next 30 days.
  4. You and your friend will each receive a $25 account credit after 60 days of active service. This will be applied to your account automatically. Now that you have joined the Cricket Family, you can refer your friends to earn up to $250 per year in account credits. Restrictions Apply.

Thanks @James_Cricket

I am a new customer. Never used cricket before. I created a new account but I transfered my old number.
