I have a Samsung Z fold 2. I have not been able to call out or receive calls for 3 days now. I've had Samsung look at the phone and they say it is a carrier issue. I've put a friend's SIM card in my unlocked phone, and hers works in my phone. Cricket can't seem to give me answers. Anyone else??

The first culprit to this issue is network coverage. Check the cellular network bar on your smartphone to see the signal strength in your location. If network reception is low/weak, try moving to another location to get better network reception.
I had the same issue. I could call sometimes and sometimes not. I had full bars. I went to Cricket and got a new sim card and now it works all the time.
