MY camera started messing up a couple months ago and I cleared cache and rebooted phone and it worked again for a few days, and I have had to do that every couple weeks but in the last few days that trick won't work anymore.. I take a picture and it just stays on saving picture but when I click folder it doesn't save. I have them saving to SD card.. I've just now tried to re format the card and now it saves to one folder but when I go to upload it to share it says error and it's grey. All updates are up to date. I do have insurance but trying to avoid doing a claim.. anything else I can try?

Hey @LadyShamrock !

Sorry to hear that you are having issues with your Cricket Dream 5G and taking pictures. If you have storage available on your device and still not able to take pictures, it may be a good idea to back up your data and perform a factory reset as that could resolve any potential software glitches or issues. If issues continue, please know that the Cricket Dream 5G is covered by a 2-Year Manufacturer as a Cricket branded device. To make a warranty claim visit the link below and follow the prompts on the site or contact the Returns Center at 1-800-CRICKET (274-2538) for assistance. The support center will troubleshoot the device malfunction over the phone and provide instructions for the warranty return, if applicable.

Since those methods haven't resolved the issue, here are a few more things you can try:

  1. Check permissions: Make sure that the camera app has the necessary permissions to save photos to the SD card. You can do this by going to the app settings on your phone and verifying the permissions.

  2. Test with a different SD card: If possible, try using a different SD card to see if the issue persists. This will help determine if the problem is with the SD card itself.

  3. Update camera app: Check if there are any updates available for your camera app and install them if necessary. Sometimes, app updates can fix bugs and improve performance.

  4. Clear app data: Instead of just clearing the cache, you can also try clearing the app data for your camera app. This will reset the app to its default settings and may resolve any software-related issues.

  5. Contact customer support: If none of the above steps work, it might be worth reaching out to the customer support of your phone manufacturer or the camera app developer. They may have specific troubleshooting steps or be able to provide further assistance.

If all else fails, it's advisable to consider filing an insurance claim if you have coverage. They can guide you through the claim process and provide a solution to the camera issue
