Hi,

I got my Google Pixel 6a phone today, and was super excited to try it out, but after inserting my cricket wireless sim, I got an SMS saying this model is not supported by Cricket.

I got on a call with customer service, and provided them with my IMEI number, but all they said is they do not support this model.

Does anyone know if cricket will support Pixel 6a or how long does it usually take Cricket to support a new device? I need to decide if I should be returning my Pixel 6a :(

@Maver1ck007

You may want to get a new device. If it isn’t compatible, it probably won’t be.

I had the same issue and spoke with a cricket rep.  They indicated that it will be on the compatibility list “soon”  Mint Mobile said the same thing, they were just more competent about getting that information to me.

After much pushing for a firmer date, I got this:
“I am really sorry, we do not have any update for now that how many months it might take but it will be added certainly.”

Looks like Cricket has updated their IMEI database. My sim is now working with my Pixel6a :)
