Just got the Pixel 6 Pro, took the sim from my Pixel 5 and put it into the new phone, everything seems fine. Except when I try to turn on the hotspot, it says I need to have a plan for it and says to contact AT&T customer service? In my phone settings, it does say Cricket for network so that's confusing. I do have a plan that includes hotspot. It worked totally fine on my Pixel 5. The lady at the cricket store didn't give a very clear or concise answer, my guess is that she either didn't know how to help or what we were needing or didn't want to deal with us as it was in the last hour of the day. Any help is appreciated.

Hi @Lexi.noele! Welcome to our Cricket Community Forum and thank you for your post. After reviewing your device, we found that the Google Pixel 6a is not mobile hotspot compatible on our network while your Pixel 5 is hotspot compatible. At this time, we are unable to offer mobile hotspot data on your Google Pixel 6a. To get more information on this, please see the link below:

I don't have a Pixel 6a. I have the Pixel 6 Pro.

Bump for this. I am having the same issue on Pixel 5a.

Both the Pixel 6 pro and Pixel 5a are hotspot compatible on the BYOD list.
