I am not a cricket user and I have a sim locked phone. How can I get my unlock code?

I contacted chat support, but they told me that they needed data from the first user of the phone, number and security pin, which I do not have, because without those they cannot see if it is more than 6 months old, is there a solution to my problem?

Hey @fenocz, you're outta luck if you can't verify the name, number, & security info on the account the phone was used with. The only other option is to try unlocking it thru the myCricket app login screen. There's a device unlock option that pops up on certain phones. You don't even have to log into the app. Just open it and look in the left bottom corner.

The phone does not have that app, and it asks for a network unlock code, which seems strange to me, is that they tell me that they need the credentials of the first user to verify that it is 6 months old, cricket cannot verify it in their system ?
