Dream 5G data AGAIN NOT RESOLVED
I posted the other day about my girlfriends dream 5G which she has had for close to 2 months that has worked amazingly well, until the other day. Cricket came on here and marked the issue as resolved which it has not been resolved. We have PAID OUT MY POCKET for a new sim card when we were told that was the solution that we needed to do, Why I had to pay 10 bucks and some change for that, is beyond me. The problem we are having is the data connection will drop out every 5 mins or so and will not come back on unless you either turn the phone on and off, reset network settings, or airplane mode on and off and every time it comes back, the best we have got is 15 mins out of it. I have called the overseas tech support they use and have to go through the same damn troubleshooting steps every damn time only for them to think they got it fixed when it is still acting up soon as the call is over, I was told to submit a warranty claim on it which I followed the link in my last post and when I e
Making/Receiving Calls on a BYOD may not work - blame AT&T
Today I became aware that I am no longer able to send/receive calls on my Samsung Galaxy Note 8 here at home. However if I drive to the grocery store, I am able to make/receive calls just fine. This has sent me on a path today to investigate this issue and to determine what exactly is going on.Here at home we have 6 phones that are all on Cricket Wireless. Two of the phones, a Cricket S10 and S9, are working perfectly and are able to make/receive phone calls with no problems. However all of our BYOD phones (2 A50's, Note 8 and an S9+) are all unable to make/receive calls here at home.I've done all the normal steps such as rebooting and checking settings, and even went so far as to purchase a new SIM card for the Note 8, but it all came back to the same results. After spending hours on a chat with a support person, swapping SIM cards around between phones and stuff, we came up with the following conclusion:Phones that are not sold or supported by Cricket wi
Moto G Stylus 5g charging Issues
Buy Moto G Stylus 5G for my daughter 7/28/21. It seemed like a really great phone. I recently bought myself one and was thinking of buying one for my husband. No problem until October 2022, when the phone suddenly had issues charging?Advice? Anyone with similar issues? Any fix? I am paying for the Cricket Warranty. Should I call about the Cricket Warranty? Should I call Motorola?
Need SIM network unlock pin for a Moto e5 cruise
I have a moto e5 cruise that was given to me bc I my previous phone stopped working. I don’t have the $$ to purchase a new phone so I registered for qlink wireless and got a SIM card in the mail yesterday . When inserted a message appears on the e5 stating there’s a network lock and I need a pin # to proceed. Research has shown me I may need to pay to have phone unlocked🤔. If that’s true is there any other way to do so that’s legal and FREE??? I need a phone badly—been without for too long.
Trying to activate new phone
I bought a Cricket phone from Walmart to add my dad and stepmom onto my account. Took it to the Cricket store where they added my parents to the account, took my money, but then said phone wouldn’t activate. Told me to take it back to Walmart and get another phone and bring it back. So I did. Same thing...wouldn’t activate. Told me to call customer service, so I did. FOUR TIMES. Every representative either hung up on me or told me the problem would be fixed if I would just power the phone down and then boot it back up. NOTHING WORKED and I still have a phone my dad can’t use but still being charged. I am not rude on the phone with the representatives. They all say they need to put me on hold to fix the problem and then they just disconnect. I don’t know what to do to get the phone activated since no one is willing to help. So incredibly frustrating.
theScoop of crappy bloatware
I found a notification on my phone that "Apps Installed by Mobile Services theScoop." Why? And it can't be uninstalled only disabled. So in addition to the pre-installed bloatware, cricket adds to it after service is initiated? I don't want this crAPP on my phone? How do I prevent future unauthorized downloads by cricket or anyone else?
Voicemail problems for Lg Stylo 6
I have tried setting up my voicemail, when I open it states this person does not have a voicemail set up. When I go to settings my voicemail number is mine own phone number. But the voicemail states that the mailbox is invalid. I would need the systems manager mailbox number.
Pixel 5a Hotspot Trouble
When I try to enable my hotspot, I receive the error; "An eligible data plan is required to use personal mobile hotspot. Please visit att.com/personalhotspot or myAT&T to change your plan. You also may call AT&T at 611 for assistance." How do I get it to work? My phone is unlocked and compatible. I'm also on the "Unlimited More" plan.
Stylo 5 is not unlocking and nobody will help
My son is a Cricket customer, and when my old phone died he gave me his previous Cricket phone, an LG Stylo 5, so I could use it with my carrier. It meets all the unlock conditions, so I followed Cricket's instructions to unlock it...about 45 times. It has to be unlocked thru the MyCricket app, and every time I do the procedure, it says Unlock Successful, please restart your phone, and boom it is locked to Cricket again. Customer service is no help, and keeps telling me to do what has already been tried, and although I have tried to get transferred or referred to tech support or customer service manager, I have been refused! I am at my breaking point on this, and as a senior citizen, this is just not fair! At a Cricket store, they removed my son's info/account from the phone so I would not have to keep asking him for his personal info, pin, password, etc. But that did not help either. I want to be able to call my kids or my doctor! So, tech support or customer service management, or any
Why Am I To Be Penalized for A Bad Decision
I switched to Spectrum from Cricket in December 2022, ostensibly to save money. Unfortunately I was plagged with bad phones. I purchased a Moto G Stylus in 2022. Spectrum said it wasn’t one of their acceptable phones, so I had to settle for an older type Moto G Pure (2021). After 2+ weeks of it not working out of town (in NC) and not having a working SIM card (that’s all on my record), I purchased a ‘NEW” moto Dream 5 G phone at a Raleigh NC Cricket store. It costs me a lot (though being a lower end. I needed a working cellphone for work that weekend)! When SIM card arrived from Cricket online I told Customer Service it was too big. I was told that I’d have to put in in through the back. I pushed did all that I could and couldn’t get the back off. Went to the Cricket store where we agreed the phone was marked not to try to remove the back. Store personnel pointed out the problem wasn’t the size of the SIM card - but that it was encased in a larger piece of cardboard. Phone is ruined. I
