Two of my family members have Cricket service, and just recently they both got their service cut off due to that 3G shut down. They both have fairly new smartphones, and both of the phones support 4G network. What do they need to do to enable the service again? Their phones were not purchased at Cricket. Are they going to have to purchase new phones?
After many happy years using cricket as 1 of my 2 Sims in many international phones that operate on the correct LTE bands and with all the latest features, cricket suspends my line if I use a completely compatible device that's not on their very limited list. I figure there must be more people experiencing a similar issue recently as they suspend lines for "incompatible" phones, so I thought is post this.
Hello! I have a new Alcatel SmartFlip phone on a different carrier. Thought I would take a shot with this question in this forum. I was surprised that I don’t seem to have the ability to send any emojis in texts - but I can receive them. I found an app in the Kai Store (OS is KaiOS 2.5.2) that I could download some to my phone as pictures in my gallery, so I can attach them to texts, but I get charged for the text as a “multi-media” msg (twice as much as regular text) by my carrier - I have a pre-paid monthly plan. When I receive texts with emoji in them, it’s only the regular text rate that I get charged, not the multi-media rate. So my phone reads them as regular parts of texts when I receive them, but I can’t send them unless they are attachments at twice the price. Seems odd to me. Hard to believe I don’t have the ability built in to send any emoji at all. Don’t suppose anybody knows if this phone can somehow magically be able to send emoji as part of normal texting?
Why is it that all the phones on the IMEI whitelist are only sold by ATT/Cricket? https://www.cricketwireless.com/support/great-big-network/byod-compatibility.htmlCricket/ATT are forcing people to buy their phones to use volte. For example, I am using bv9600 pro unlocked & rooted. i can switch 4g bands to match their system and make custom apn to match making my phone fully compatible. However because my IMEI isn’t on the whitelist im blocked from the voLTE. Here is some of the phones info:as you can see my phone is trying to use voLTE service but because of the IMEI whitelist it gets blocked from registering IMS on the service. The real issue isn’t the phones, its Cricket/ATT forcing people to buy their phones. When in some cases isn’t the issue. My phone works with all other carrier voLTE just not Cricket/ATT because of this IMEI whitelist and is fully capable of connecting to the service otherwise. And to prove I can change whatever is nessisary on my phone including 4g bands: her
Anyone know how to get the moto one 5g to actually work with 5g? After a bunch of attempts I still show no option to connect to 5g under preferred network typeNew sim card installedSoftware is up to date Manual input for network already done, same as default Searched community for info but none available.
So after doing a bunch of reading, I guess during covid the Hotspot was unlocked for tons of people. That was nice but I’ve been paying for it all along. My previous phone was a Nokia 8.3 5g and the hotspot was working great for the last 9 months or so. Hotspot has now been BLOCKED on my phone number so I thought I’d get a newer phone. I purchased a Pixel 6. However hotspot is still being blocked on my phone. I called customer support only to have them say that they won’t support any Pixel hotspotting. But just for a second, lets look at the “Mobile Hotspot Eligible Phones”: for Android, in total there are just a FEW that are 5g. And at that note they are ALL lower end phones. Less than 10 phones in total. That really is a huge disappointment. So BYOD really doesn’t apply to this company and customer service is out the window when you hand select what specific devices you do want to support. In the end, it’s just lies that will loose you customers.
My phone is only a few weeks old and is very slow! It takes 20-30 seconds from the time I hit the text message button to pull up the text message screen, and another 20-30 seconds from when I hit the “+” sign to begin a new message, until the screen appears for me to start typing the new message. It also takes the same 20-30 seconds from when I hit the camera button until a screen appears to take the picture.Tried restarting the phone and the issue persists……………….Any help or suggestion is much appreciated!Thank you!
There are Chinese and international version , European and US versions . Its US version works fine on safelink ( ATT) network . Your imei checker says incompatible , but is that due because there are various versions that are incompatible ? Since its US version that can use ATT network and unlocked would it work ?
Hello,I just bought a new LG Harmony 4 phone and I am not receiving text notifications. That is, I don't receive an audible tone or vibration or screen message when a text message arrives. I do get the text messages, but no notification of them. I have tried to adjust the notification settings for the Messaging app, but I am only able to receive notifications if the screen is on. That is, when the phone is on standby with the screen off, I do not get the text message notifications.I realize that this is a new model, and that the behavior may be a software bug. Can you help me to fix or work around this problem?Thank you.
I have had this Moto G Stylus 5G 2021 for over a year now, fully paid off at time of purchase, and decided to unlock the device (even though I am not planning to switch carriers at this time). I tried to do it online on the website, and it prompted me that I had to do it through the MyCricket application. I tried, and got "Received HTTP 400 with reason: " error. Tried doing it through Wi-Fi, same thing. Tried clearing cache and data on the MyCricket app, and still no dice. The app is also up to date. Can anyone assist me in what to do further? Thank you in advance. Edit: solved through rebooting device. Device is unlocked now.

I have been a customer since April 2021; but on Sunday night my worst nightmare came to fruition. I use apps like Doordash to earn a living; and Sunday night while on a delivery the app crashed. In a panic, I force stopped the app then restarted my phone. However, I was unable to remember a pattern I had created the day before to unlock my phone; due to concerns about Android devices being vulnerable to data breaches, I decided to create an additional level of security Because Cricket was unable to help me, I had to contact LG in order to do a hard reset. Again I did this out of desperation without realizing that my data would be lost. Once this was completed, I have been having problems getting back in because I forgot my Google password. I understand that this is out of Cricket’s hands, but I visited the store to see if they had a way to work around this. Unfortunately, the in-store representative was very condescending, claiming that I should have never performed a hard reset. Becau
How in the world is someone on disability supposed to upgrade 4 phones to 5g phones? They cost way to much and to top it off just because we are customers we have to pay more than new customers do. So because some of us have been with cricket for over 10 years which with any other company would be a loyalty customer and would get extra benefits, we, on the other hand get screwed and will lose our plans and phones n probably numbers also because not everyone can afford new 5g phones. 4 of them at once anyway. Not with your prices for loyal customers! Plz explain how I'm supposed to upgrade 4 phones to 5g by next month??
We recently received a new Google Pixel 6. We bought the unlocked version that is supposed to work on all carriers. Switched the sim over and the phone wouldn’t work, furthermore the number showed up as suspended on myCricket. We switched it back into the original phone and after a while the suspension was lifted. The Cricket website lists the Pixel 6 as supported, however when we plug the imei number it says the device is not supported.Anyone have an idea what is happening? Any suggestions? Thanks!
unihertz jelly pro not listed as compatible with 5G--will be changing service if cricket doesn't quit the cash grab
Keep getting texts/interrupted calls that my phone doesn’t support 5G/4G LTE. It clearly does (as multiple other services have confirmed). Since Cricket’s whitelist is nothing more than a cash-grab attempt to force customers to buy phones they don’t need, will be switching services unless tech support actually starts acting like tech support and adding ALL phones that qualify to their whitelist rather than lying about a phone’s capabilities.
I bought a brand new phone with my money from working yesterday, good quality, was a great deal for the features. Gets it set up, and gets a text that it’s not compatible, ends up calling Cricket and the issue gets sorted. Later I decided to update my phone, IMEI gets reset and now my phone is back to being incompatible. Note that I am not rich and I’m happy I got to pay for the phone I did, but now I had to wait a day for Cricket to be open to call them just for them to deactivate my phone number. They mentioned during both calls that my phone was 3G, despite it being a 4G phone and kept talking about some “HD Voice” feature. I barely make phone calls, why is this even a thing. So now I have to return the phone because it’s under my families plan, which by the way all their phones are going to be deactivated in February so expect us to leave Cricket soon. By the way I believe this is the list of phones that are compatible? https://www.cricketwireless.com/support/great-big-network/byod
