I bought a brand new phone with my money from working yesterday, good quality, was a great deal for the features. Gets it set up, and gets a text that it’s not compatible, ends up calling Cricket and the issue gets sorted. Later I decided to update my phone, IMEI gets reset and now my phone is back to being incompatible. Note that I am not rich and I’m happy I got to pay for the phone I did, but now I had to wait a day for Cricket to be open to call them just for them to deactivate my phone number. They mentioned during both calls that my phone was 3G, despite it being a 4G phone and kept talking about some “HD Voice” feature. I barely make phone calls, why is this even a thing. So now I have to return the phone because it’s under my families plan, which by the way all their phones are going to be deactivated in February so expect us to leave Cricket soon. By the way I believe this is the list of phones that are compatible? https://www.cricketwireless.com/support/great-big-network/byod
I have had my Moto G7 Supra for 2 years. On 30 Oct 2021 my phone started having intermittent service. Mobile Data has "No SIM Card." I have turned the phone off and on. I have checked the SIM card position. I have wiped the SIM to remove any dust. I stopped at the local retail store. The employee told me it is probably a setting or new app. I have not changed any settings or downloaded any apps in the 3 weeks. It costs $10 to buy a new SIM card. The employee said that probably won't help. After reading comments, I have no idea what else to do. I cannot make or receive calls or texts.
I have had 2 major issues with this new phone.Firstly, often I receive a message that says my phone is not NFC compatible. I don't know what it means or how to find and fix it.Second, 98% of the time when I click a link to visit a site I get an error message about https issues
Hi, I have a Moto G Power, and I cannot figure out how to make it install my Software and app updates using my Data. I don't have easy access to Wi-Fi and nothing has been updated in a few months. I'm getting worried, I know there's no faster way to ruin a phone than let the apps get to far behind. It just will not give me the data option. Someone told me I have to factory reset my phone to switch it to data. I'll do it if I have too, but it's such a pain, I want to make sure there's no other way first. Thanks in advance.
I've had a mobile hotspot for 3 months and this problem is getting worse. The device consistently shows a strong signal, 4 or 5 bars, but frequently my phone or laptop will say I have no internet connection, even though the Wi-Fi connection is also strong. This lasts anywhere from a few seconds to a few minutes. Even when there is a connection it's often so unstable that email will not download.Since the hotspot is for data only this makes it almost useless. I did a factory reset and it did not solve the problem.

I have been checking for updates for my Nokia xr20 since I switched to cricket and it consistently says that "updates are temporarily unavailable, please try again later." Since I knew there was an update available, I was able to finally download it by completely disabling my cricket sim and checking on wifi. Even using WiFi with cricket still enabled would not let me check and give the same error. Why would they be blocking android security updates??
I have a OnePlus 7pro phone I purchased from 2019, that's less than 2yrs ago. I am pretty sure its technology and everything is more than capable of keep working with any modern upgrade of phone service. But I've received a text from cricket saying that it's not going to be the case and I'd need to buy a new phone?? I also have prepaid the service for the next year or so. So what if I don't want to spend $1k on a new phone and decide that I want to change to a different service provider? Would my prepaid amount be refunded?? Thank you
I had to buy a new phone because the microphone on ,my old phone did not seem to work right. The salesman activated the new phone right away. When I got home, I researched how to migrate the apps, "Use Motorola Migrate app", but now the old phone says “You're Offline”. Is there a way to get Motorola Migrate to work when the old phone no longer has cell service? Is there a way to manually migrate ‘Messages’ app data to the new phone?
Brand new Moto G Stylus phone from Cricket. In areas where cellular service isn’t great… but there is marginal signal.Turn on WiFi calling, and it always says "Please try again later".Tried turning phone to “airplane mode”, then turn on WiFi… get the same message.Rebooting phone… doesn’t help.Call to support… I might as well have gone through the Burger King drive through and asked for help.Yes, WiFi is solid… no problem accessing websites. Have tried via different WiFi networks… same results. Do have another softphone app on the Moto… it works fine.Any thoughts?
Even though both Cricket and Motorola support presidential alerts I also do not receive them. In my app settings presidential alerts and the ability to turn them off and on is shadowed out yet I have full access to other types of alerts: weather, Amber, state/local alerts, etc. I have made numerous calls about this only to be hung up on or told because my number is registered with the Federal Do Not Call list. To say I am frustrated about this is like calling Biden a president.
Hi all! I have an unlocked OnePlus 5 with a Cricket SIM. It's not a new phone, but it works perfectly and is 4G LTE compatible. I got a text this morning from Cricket saying that 3G support will be ending in February 2022 (fine, cool) and that my device will no longer be supported (what?)I tried calling Cricket to ask why I'd be getting a text that doesn't seem relevant, but the guy palmed me off talking about “changes to the network” without actually explaining why shutting down 3G means a 4G phone would no longer be compatible. He insisted it's because it's unlocked, but then said any iPhone from 6S onward, unlocked or on Cricket, would work fine. Clear as mud, right? So I wanted to ask here if anyone can shed any light on what this actually means, or if it's a mistake on their end. If it isn't, I'll probably just switch network rather than pay for a new phone - Cricket isn't the only budget carrier anymore!
