Lied to

I added a new line and was told I HAD TO GET the phone even though I planned on using my apple phone with the account, I got a cheap one and IN THE STORE , the employee took the SIM card out and put it in my apple phone I planned on using. I told them eventually I want to use this phone but in an ATT account. They said hold the phone for 6 months and then you can use it. It’s been over the 6 months, I call to have them unlock the phone from cricket and they said no you had to use it for 6 months. The employee did not say that, they switched the SIM card to the apple phone and said just keep it and when you ready we will unlock it. Such liars!! All I want is to use the dang cricket phone!! It’s mine I paid for it, the line was in use and paid for monthly, unlock my phone!!!!

Thank you for your message.  We are sorry you were told this.  These are the unlock terms.


  1. The device you want to unlock has been active for at least six (6) months of paid service.*

  2. The device is designed for use on and is locked to Cricket's network.

  3. The device has not been reported lost or stolen.

  4. The device is not associated with a fraudulent account.

Yes, but unfortunately no matter how you explain the situation to cricket they will not unlock the phone. Your best bet is to get the phone unlocked outside of Cricket Wireless.  

I think you could of thought of something better than to quote to me what has been said!! That doesn’t excuse the lie I was told by the initial person to , apparently JUST GET ME TO ADD A LINE. Especially since I told him my intent on the line and phone from the beginning. Used it for 10 days and they switch it to the apple phone with no problem and said I bought the phone and having service on the line is what counts NOT THE PHONE !!!
