Phone or network problems?

I've had a few issues of late with a BYOD Android phone, the Huawei Honor 6x, and I'm curious whether they're more so a problem with the phone itself or something to do with my SIM card. For the record, all apps are up-to-date, as well as the Huawei firmware. Android version is 7.0 (Nougat).

1) Longest-standing issue. Let's say I send a text in a group that has 3 different people in it. If one of them responds, it creates an entirely new group in my message history that lists the 3 different people, plus my own phone number. And when I respond in that group, any messages I send are also "received" as though they're from someone else. SIM card issue or phone issue? For the record, I don't have the issue when using other messaging apps like Google Hangouts, GroupMe, or Facebook Messenger (all of which, I presume, use WiFi and/or LTE).

2) Within the past week, I've had an issue in Messages, when I'm sending a text, it'll say "Sending..." for quite some time, before flagging it that the message wasn't sent. But the recipient will, in fact, have received it.

3) Also within the past week, I've been slow to receive notifications from several messaging apps, which are normally far more prompt. I suspect this is an issue with the phone itself, and not Cricket.

4) Similarly group text messages that other people send don't come through anymore. Instead I have to download them individually, and the kicker is that they never download, even when my LTE signal is fantastic and my WiFi connection is clear.

Thanks for any feedback!

I have had this problem at times over the years with many phones.

The only thing I can think of is the tower is busy and we are on a MNVO and not at and t post paid which comes first in traffic.
