Bought a Moto e5 Cruise in February. According to your e5 cruise support page, there are 2 security updates for this device. One dated Nov. 2018. The other dated Jan. 2019. I have not received any.  Still stuck on April 1, 2018. Is it just my phone, or is this a Moto e5 issue?

Are you connected to a WIFI source when checking for updates?

Some devices are set to only download firmware updates over WIFI by default as some firmware updates can be hundreds of Megabytes in size.

(FYI, I am not an employee or representative of Cricket)

Yes, I have tried updating on wifi. I also contacted Cricket via text. They referred me to Motorola. Motorola was of no help at all. My previous 2 phones were LG's. They updated every 3 months or so. I now regret this purchase.

Yes, I know how you feel regarding lack of response and/or being passed around and nobody taking time to assist.

But I will attempt to help although I have never owned a Motorola device.

I do know that there are malicious applications that can block security and firmware updates as well as blocking access to antivirus updates or apps.

Do you have a lot of third party apps installed on your Moto?

What is the firmware version number shown on your Moto at Settings/System/About_Phone/Build Number?
