Hello

I have a cricket dream and have had minimal issues, until Monday of this week. My phone did an update and ever since I'm not receiving or able to send out text messages. I keep getting an error that the app has stopped working. I have tried removing apps and photos, because I was told at my local store, that it was a storage issue.  Ive rebooted multiple times with no luck.  I can't get into apps for my banking because it wants to send me a text verification and I can't receive it. I need to get this fixed immediately.  I also tried to delete old text messages and that wasn't working either.

I'm having the exact same issue. There is no additional update to correct this and I've restarted several times. I can receive phone calls, which is nice, but texting is now an important part of a functioning phone.

Same thing here ever since the last update. Cleared storage, restarted phone, did hard restart. Did a force stop on messaging app and opened it again. Nothing works

I messaged them on FB and they advised a service restart (turn phone off, remove sim card, wait 10 minutes, reinsert sim, turn on) which also did not fix it. Waiting to hear what they will do next.

I have also had the same thing since the update on Monday. Called Cricket, it’s a known issue but the gal I spoke to yesterday had no real time update to when it would be fixed. I have found that after I receive a text, if I go to settings and “force stop” the messaging app, I can then send a reply. But I have to do that EVERY time. Also, I don’t get notifications when a text comes in so I am constantly having to check. I work with a surgeon who texts often so it’s been pretty annoying to have to constantly check if I have an incoming text…

They finally offered to send a new phone, a solution, but not a great one.

Same issue here, I have to do a "force stop" AND  "clear cache" before it works. And that's only about ½ of the times I've tried.

I was told last Weds they would be overnighting me a replacement phone. Today I received a phone call asking if I can meet up with someone at a Cricket store to discuss a replacement. So much for expecting to have a new phone by now. Missed some very important work texts on Friday.
