Unlock Phone

I switched to Cricket from H20 wireless. I am using an unlocked iPhone XS. Cricket offered me an LG Stylo 5 for $50. Cricket said they would unlock it after 6 months. I lost track of the time. 10 months later I remembered and asked Cricket to unlock the phone as they promised. Cricket refused. Cricket said customers have at least 6 months of active service on their device before they are eligible to have it unlocked. Despite paying for service and buying the phone, Cricket used a loophole to break their promise. Cricket must fulfill their promise and their word. Cricket declined , but that is what was required to keep integrity.

@gaurang2984 Actually, their unlock policy is super clear.  The 6-month rule is literally #1 on the list.

General Device Unlock Requirements

If you have a Cricket phone, it may have been programmed with a lock that prevents it from operating with other compatible wireless networks. Cricket will provide the unlock code upon request, provided Cricket has the unlock code or can reasonably obtain it from the manufacturer, and you have met the following unlocking requirements:

  1. The device you want to unlock has been active for at least six months of paid service on that device.

I noticed that when I logged into my cricket account, it gave me the ability to unlock lines that were eligible.  Is this the same thing?  It didn't ask for a PUK code.
