I just bought a used Cricket Android phone and want to know how to get phone unlocked. I do not have a Cricket account.

Hello @TomJonesAtlGa,

You can view our unlock policy here: https://www.cricketwireless.com/legal-info/device-unlock-policy.html

I'm going to Europe next month.  I want to be able to use Map apps.  My current Cricket phone (Z959) does not work with GPS; I assume something is broken.  I don't mind buying a new phone, but I want it unlocked.  Your unlock policy says the phone must be used for 6 months.  Obviously, no good for me.  What can I do?

Have you considered signing up for one of Cricket's intl plans? Depending on which country, you should have service. Here's the link:  https://www.cricketwireless.com/support/international-calling/international-features.html

My father passed away very soon after purchasing a new iPhone 12 mini. Cricket will not unlock it as it wasn’t owned for six months on the Cricket carrier.

Has anyone ever dealt with this? I would like to either sell it or let a family member use it.
