If it is unlocked and GSM it should work, I would recommend checking the bands that it supports and looking up the Cricket bands to make sure you will get 4G LTE and it will be good for use in the states.

It works beautifully, except I can't receive text messages. They came through no problem until today. I can send them just fine.
Hi! Unfortunately Cricket is no longer supporting this phone. I used it till Jiune 20th and left for Europe for 3 months, now I am back in the States and the Xiaomi MI Note 9 does not work any more with Cricket. I called them and they said based on the IMEI number that they never supported it and won't work.
