yahoo mail app issue

Hi Folks,

Recently purchased a Moto e5 Cruise.  Trying to install Yahoo mail app and it won't work.  By that I mean I download & install the app.  Open the app, at the prompt I enter email address for my existing Yahoo account.  I press the "next" button and nothing happens.  It is supposed to go to an enter password screen but it just stays at the user name prompt.  The button flashes briefly then just stays same page.  I have deleted the app and reinstalled it several times.  Tried all reasonable variations of my user name (w/out @, etc), looked all over the web, nada.

 

Any ideas here?  Gmail works fine as do all other apps and features.  I am stumped.

Thanks for the reply.  Yes I've checked and both the app and OS are up to date.  Also deleted app and reinstalled numerous times.  I will check out the twitter feed.
