For the past couple of months, I have been receiving text messages from various email addresses, sending links to porn sites. I can't figure out how to block these. I'd like to just block all messages from emails, since they keep changing the email address, and no one I know texts from email. Any solutions?Thanks!
After many happy years using cricket as 1 of my 2 Sims in many international phones that operate on the correct LTE bands and with all the latest features, cricket suspends my line if I use a completely compatible device that's not on their very limited list. I figure there must be more people experiencing a similar issue recently as they suspend lines for "incompatible" phones, so I thought is post this.
I currently have a LG Escape 3 and up until recently I liked the Visual Voicemail app that was on the phone. However, it appears to have been updated as recently as two days ago and now it no longer works.When I get voicemails, they no longer are accessible thru Visual Voicemail, and if I try to check the "Greeting" it just spins forever and if I go back to the Settings page I get this constant "Unavailable at this time" message at the bottom of the screen..I just wondered if it was an issue with the app, my phone, and if I'm going to need to factory reset it or not to get it to work again? I have 2 Alcatel PULSEMIX phones. They were working fine until the point the last Cricket Updates got installed in mid-August. Since then, and exactly then, the battery started to go down within about 5-6 hours, earlier it lived for more than a day with no charge. The phone is hot, sometimes burning my skin when in my pocket. Now both phones are doing the same and as they received the Cricket Updates with about a week difference, I could exactly confirm that the Cricket Updates caused this issue, nothing else has changed. How can I roll back these last updates? Or how can Cricket fix my phones? They are totally useless now, they are always on the charger. and not mobile phones any more. The problematic Update build number is 4F7UCY7.
So upsetting, I just received a USED/Refurbished phone through Cricket Insurance/Asurion after breaking mine. I got HOODWINKED into spending $75.00 on a deductible on a USED phone!!!! The phone barely costs $200.00 new, so that was a shocker, but a whole other story I'm afraid. The phone came to me with Ads/Videos that continuously play and not only scare the living daylights out of me, but suck my battery, play in the middle of meetings, and embarrass me to NO end. I called Crickey who said I should send it in and that they will then send me another refurbished phone. Is this a joke, I cannot be without a phone for a week. Oh and I have an idea - How about you simply tell me how to remove the ads. I do not have the energy or time to drive to UPS and mail my phone out and wait for another one, that will most assuredly come with ads. Hello, I have read most of the VVM threads here, and have not seen one describe the issue I've noticed for the past 3 months. This is happening on 3 different devices. So I know it's not device related, 2 devices are on Oreo, and the third is on Nougat. I have uninstalled, cleared cache, cleared data, and still the same issue persist with the app. I'm not doing another FR, as I'm sure it is not the issue since it's happening on 3 devices.When I get a voicemail, I play the VM, it'll play for 4 secs exactly, then stop, I then have to hit the play button again for it to start and play fully. This happens on every VM using the app on all 3 devices. I have tried other 3rd party VM apps, many times I don't get the Vmail in time or days later. So I would really like to get this VVM app to work properly, or I'll simply go back to the old system in calling my number to check my messages. In this day and age you figured they be able to resolve these simple issue. Customer support
Is anyone having a problem where screenshots sent over Cricket MMS are arriving blank/corrupted? My wife and I are having no problem sending/viewing these over RCS messaging, but if we switch to MMS mode, or are sending to someone not on RCS, the image doesn't go through intact - it depends on the receiving phone what it ends up looking like, but usually either a blank image of the appropriate size, or an error placeholder. We did a little diagnosis, and it seems the image is arriving, but arriving corrupted. We're not having problems sending other images, like photos, at all.(Apologies for not being more specific, but I already posted this once with more detail, and the forum marked it as spam. If this gets through, I can show some images of what the corruption looks like.)
I have been dealing with a frustrating nightmare for the past 2 weeks and no one at Cricket seems to care about losing a long-time customer. I just bought a brand new phone through Cricket which has been defective and because its past 7 days the only options is for me to send it to the manufacturer, be days without a phone, only to be sent a used phone. I just purchased this phone and within 2 weeks of owning it it stopped working properly. It has been ridiculous to get through to anyone because of the COVID outbreak which has delayed me getting in touch with anyone from customer service, and because of that, me as the customer is getting penalized. I did not spend money on a brand new phone just to be sent a used phone. I will absolutely be switching providers as soon as possible, since no one at customer service seems to be able to help or even care about my situation. They have offered me absolutely no alternative or even apologized for any inconv
My wifi keeps disabling. Cricket store said they have had several complaints about the same issue. They reset my network settings. I clicked forget on my home wifi and reentered the password. Wifi works for a couple of minutes and disables again. Already had my provider swap out my modem and router. I saw on the xfinity board while researching this that they are having the same problem with the LG xcharge. Just bought mine about 4 months ago. Bought 4 of them/family members. 2 are having the problem so far. Need help?
I just got a new cricket software update yesterday and ever since any video I've tried to watch has buffered to a point where it's impossible to watch at all. The video will stop like 30 times in one second. And it's not just YouTube because I've tried to watch other videos on other platforms and they've done the same thing. I've never had something happen like this on my phone before this update so I think that it messed something up. I've tried restarting my phone and clearing up space by deleting files and apps but it still doesn't work and I can't think of anything else that'll make it work.
Has anyone else noticed data to be super slow after Cricket offered the free 10GB of data for COVID19? 192.168.0.1nI've been using cricket on my current phone for half a year now and data has been super fast. Now, immediately after they offered the free 10GB, everything is slow. I've got Acetel Onyx phone running Android 8.1. I've noticed not just my phone but other Cricket phones have the same features. One thing I'm missing is in Accessibility option... There's no option to use "Flash Notification" for the hearing impaired. I'm going nuts! Can anybody help or get this feature in the next update?
Less than 2 months ago I bought a new Nokia 3.1 Plus running Android Pie. So far I've been able to download 2 updates with no problems. Yesterday another one popped up and I haven't been able to download it. I keep getting this message "Previous DM session is still working. Please try again later." I searched online, didn't find much. I did find that DM stands for Device Management and supposedly means something running in the background. I turned off all of my backups. Still the same message. Has anyone ran into this problem before? Or anyone have a fix? Cricket CS was no help as usual and told me to contact the manufacturer, even though it does state Cricket Wireless software update.
Today I became aware that I am no longer able to send/receive calls on my Samsung Galaxy Note 8 here at home. However if I drive to the grocery store, I am able to make/receive calls just fine. This has sent me on a path today to investigate this issue and to determine what exactly is going on.Here at home we have 6 phones that are all on Cricket Wireless. Two of the phones, a Cricket S10 and S9, are working perfectly and are able to make/receive phone calls with no problems. However all of our BYOD phones (2 A50's, Note 8 and an S9+) are all unable to make/receive calls here at home.I've done all the normal steps such as rebooting and checking settings, and even went so far as to purchase a new SIM card for the Note 8, but it all came back to the same results. First off, I am a network engineer and have been doing it for 16yrs... So as far as my home setup..it is solid.All my other devices including non-cricket phones and Android OS has no problems with WiFi in the house or anywhere else.My ZTE phone from Cricket as of about a week or so ago simply will not stay connected to ANY WiFi hotspot longer than 5 minutes. I do 90% of my work from home and got the message today that I have used 75% of my data.... I never even use 1 GB in a month...let alone 7GB. I noticed that my phone is constantly disconnecting from my WiFi and randomly reconnects when I leave the house and come back.... Connections never last more than 5 minutes before dropping...no matter the signal quality.The router still shows in the list but I have to reconnect to it constantly....and 5 mins later repeat... There are no issues with my home and office network and only this phone is doing this out of the 8 devices on my wireless home network.Is there a way to bypass the Cricket
I have 4 Pixel 4a’s on my account, yet one will not activate Wifi Calling. It receives an “Error Identified contact us at 611” error message. The BYOD Cricket List Found Here states that the Pixel 4a is fully supported. Support claims the Pixel 4a does not support Wifi Calling and that list and phone compatibility is subject to change at anytime. We tried a new SIM and it still received the same error message. If I take my wife’s SIM out and stick my SIM card in the phone, Wifi Calling will work. I think it is a Cricket issue, but they are claiming the Pixel 4a is an unsupported phone, yet my other 3 Pixel 4a’s on the account have no issues with wifi calling.Any ideas or suggestions?Thanks
Hi All.I have a weird problem We have 3 lines on Cricket. As of last Friday, we're no longer able to send or receive phone calls at our home. We can receive texts. The internet works. If we drive a few miles away everything works fine. Cricket said there was a tower out yesterday but it was back in service today. Does anyone have any ideas?Thanks
Bought a Moto e5 Cruise in February. According to your e5 cruise support page, there are 2 security updates for this device. One dated Nov. 2018. The other dated Jan. 2019. I have not received any. Still stuck on April 1, 2018. Is it just my phone, or is this a Moto e5 issue?
Since March 11th Cricket/AT&T have had a tower or multiple tower damages of some sort. But only today did I find out that much. Phone calls in or out were not possible. WiFi and texting were and are fine. Ping is fine. Unable to talk to anyone online. The local Cricket store I visited tried to convince me my phone was to blame. I bought an unlocked brand new phone on Amazon after being told the Windows phone I had been using for years had no trade in value even though the rep on the phone line said it would if I upgraded to a Motorola. Anyway after a while the clerk in the store sold me a sim card for $10.81. it worked for an hour. I discovered after coming here that Crickes Facebook page could help. It worked. Sort of. At least I found out it was a company technical issue with a tower or many that was at play. Now why for freaking out load could Crickets minion clerk not reveal that?
