I’m thinking of buying a new Galaxy S10+ from Fingerhut. It is unlocked and a GSM phone. It says it can be used on AT@T and other gsm carriers. Will this work with cricket? I’ve been a customer of 5 years and currently have an IPhone 6s Plus that I want to pass along to my daughter who is on my account. I don’t want to buy a $1,019 phone if it’s not going to work with Cricket. I’m very happy with my service and I am worried that I will have trouble with the new phone. Also, will I still be able to keep my phone unlocked or will you lock it when I bring it in? I will be keeping my number. Anyway, thank you in advance for your help.
My wife has the Samsung S9 and she just got the Android P update last night. My son has the Samsung S9+ but hasn't received the update even though it's out. We went into settings and did the manual search but it says it's up to date. When will the S9+ get the Android P update?
I've got Acetel Onyx phone running Android 8.1. I've noticed not just my phone but other Cricket phones have the same features. One thing I'm missing is in Accessibility option... There's no option to use "Flash Notification" for the hearing impaired. I'm going nuts! Can anybody help or get this feature in the next update?
I have 4 lines on my plan. We all have the same phones. Both mine and my daughter's lines won't make or receive phone calls. We can text and use data. I have tried switching my sim card to another phone which is also on my plan that is working. That phone would not work with my sim card in it. I have tried driving to another spot closer into town still won't work. I tried turning my phone off and on that didn't work. I tried taking my sim card out that didn't work. I tried clearing the cache that didn't work. I tried to call can't make any calls. I tried to chat held on the chat for over 20 minutes. Then got disconnected. Now they are closed. They are not even open for technical support. This is ridiculous. My bill is paid up. I checked my software is up to date. Here I've been without phones for a day now. This is the biggest crock of#$it ever.
I have been with Cricket for several years. I've been using a Samsung Galaxy S8 and never had a problem. All of a sudden last week my text messages stopped sending to people 50% of the time (I can receive text messages just fine.) When I send a text, half of the texts I send will have a blue spinning circle next to them and then an error message pops up that says "message failed" and my phone asks me to review the message and try again. Sometimes when I click "retry" it will send. Sometimes it won't. It happens no matter if I'm on wifi or not, and I for sure have full service. I've tried making sure my phone's SMSC number hasn't been changed or deleted. It hasn't. I refreshed it just in case. I've tried clearing the messaging cashe. Turning airplane mode on then off. Resetting my phone. Nothing has fixed the issue. What isn't making sense to me is the fact that some messages are sending and some aren't. I can send a message that says "test" to the same number three times and the first
I've had this phone for a little over 2 weeks. It's a great phone except that sometimes for no reason when I switch the Bluetooth to the "on" position, it does not actually turn on and I'm forced to reset ALL network connection settings in order for it to work. This means I have to manually re-set up wifi connections, wifi passwords, reset all formerly paired bluetooth connections, etc... I never encountered issues like this with my previous amp prime which worked great for over 3 years. I've checked for system updates but my system is currently up to date. Please help. Thank you.
Less than 2 months ago I bought a new Nokia 3.1 Plus running Android Pie. So far I've been able to download 2 updates with no problems. Yesterday another one popped up and I haven't been able to download it. I keep getting this message "Previous DM session is still working. Please try again later." I searched online, didn't find much. I did find that DM stands for Device Management and supposedly means something running in the background. I turned off all of my backups. Still the same message. Has anyone ran into this problem before? Or anyone have a fix? Cricket CS was no help as usual and told me to contact the manufacturer, even though it does state Cricket Wireless software update.
HiJust recently my fairly new S10 has been showing the above message at least once a day, even if I haven't been playing a game. I've had a couple of casual games on my phone since I've had it but this is a recent notification, any idea of how to fix it? I can't delete the optimizer unfortunately. Thanks in advance.
Help! Cricket sent me a text telling me I needed to update the software on my phone to be able to use it after they shut down their 3G network. My software is up to date but I still can’t make or receive calls! I’m using an unlocked S10+ that says it is compatible on their website.
I was locked out of my phone while trying to set it up. Not sure what I hit but now I need a PUK unlock code (what the PUK is that) and pin #. It says the unlock code is 8 digits and the pin # is 4 digits. The message running across the screen also says I have to contact customer service but you’re closed… I have the plastic card the SIM came in but none of the numbers add up to the 12 needed. Can anyone help me decipher the strings of numbers on the plastic SIM punch out card or must I wait until the CRICKETS wake up!!!Thank you in advance for your help..
Today I became aware that I am no longer able to send/receive calls on my Samsung Galaxy Note 8 here at home. However if I drive to the grocery store, I am able to make/receive calls just fine. This has sent me on a path today to investigate this issue and to determine what exactly is going on.Here at home we have 6 phones that are all on Cricket Wireless. Two of the phones, a Cricket S10 and S9, are working perfectly and are able to make/receive phone calls with no problems. However all of our BYOD phones (2 A50's, Note 8 and an S9+) are all unable to make/receive calls here at home.I've done all the normal steps such as rebooting and checking settings, and even went so far as to purchase a new SIM card for the Note 8, but it all came back to the same results. After spending hours on a chat with a support person, swapping SIM cards around between phones and stuff, we came up with the following conclusion:Phones that are not sold or supported by Cricket wi
I just purchased an unlocked S20 FE, direct from Samsung. I have also been using Cricket Wireless for about 3 years now, with an unlocked S9 Plus. However, after putting my SIM card in the S20 FE, I received a message that the device is not compatible with their network. When I made a call to Cricket's customer service, I was told that there is nothing they can do to activate my new phone with their network. Even though Cricket offers the exact same phone for sale, through their website! It seems like Cricket is moving toward forcing their customers to purchase phones through them. Which is a shame, because that is going to force me to do business with a different wireless network.
If you have purchased a Cricket s20FE, do not update to Baseband G781USQU3DUCB, their latest OTA update. Your device will begin disabling the backlighting on your screen and begin to flicker when under bright areas (outside) when you have adaptive brightness, or anything higher than 80% brightness enabled outside. My temporary solution is to disable adaptive brightness and keep it at 60-70%, and hopefully Cricket will release the G781USQU3DUD4 (April 20) OTA update.I have tested this on 3 devices so far, and even flashed this firmware on an unlocked s20FE.On a related note, I have noticed Cricket's baseband versions are identical to At&T's. So I am not sure why they are 3 versions behind from At&t, or if you can flash to their firmware. Is it possible to pop an ATT sim inside the device to get the OTA update?
First off, I am a network engineer and have been doing it for 16yrs... So as far as my home setup..it is solid. All my other devices including non-cricket phones and Android OS has no problems with WiFi in the house or anywhere else.My ZTE phone from Cricket as of about a week or so ago simply will not stay connected to ANY WiFi hotspot longer than 5 minutes. I do 90% of my work from home and got the message today that I have used 75% of my data.... I never even use 1 GB in a month...let alone 7GB. I noticed that my phone is constantly disconnecting from my WiFi and randomly reconnects when I leave the house and come back.... Connections never last more than 5 minutes before dropping...no matter the signal quality. The router still shows in the list but I have to reconnect to it constantly....and 5 mins later repeat... There are no issues with my home and office network and only this phone is doing this out of the 8 devices on my wireless home network. Is there a way to bypass the Cricket
I have 4 Pixel 4a’s on my account, yet one will not activate Wifi Calling. It receives an “Error Identified contact us at 611” error message. The BYOD Cricket List Found Here states that the Pixel 4a is fully supported. Support claims the Pixel 4a does not support Wifi Calling and that list and phone compatibility is subject to change at anytime. We tried a new SIM and it still received the same error message. If I take my wife’s SIM out and stick my SIM card in the phone, Wifi Calling will work. I think it is a Cricket issue, but they are claiming the Pixel 4a is an unsupported phone, yet my other 3 Pixel 4a’s on the account have no issues with wifi calling.Any ideas or suggestions? Thanks
New customer. I can’t send pictures to anyone. Turning off MMS does prompt a “MMS must be turned on” error, but doing so doesn’t help. I have tried resetting network settings. Didn’t help. iMessages and text work. I have no place in settings to edit APN settings as I have with other carriers.iPhone 6, iOS 12.1.2
Hi All.I have a weird problem We have 3 lines on Cricket. As of last Friday, we're no longer able to send or receive phone calls at our home. We can receive texts. The internet works. If we drive a few miles away everything works fine. Cricket said there was a tower out yesterday but it was back in service today. Does anyone have any ideas? Thanks
Bought a Moto e5 Cruise in February. According to your e5 cruise support page, there are 2 security updates for this device. One dated Nov. 2018. The other dated Jan. 2019. I have not received any. Still stuck on April 1, 2018. Is it just my phone, or is this a Moto e5 issue?
I noticed the new iphone XS isn't listed on the eligible hotspot phones page, but all of the other iphones are. Has this page just not been updated yet, or is hotspot not available for the iphone xs. If it's not currently available do you have an ETA on when it will? I need mobile hotspot and will have to change to a new service provider if this isn't available soon.
Since March 11th Cricket/AT&T have had a tower or multiple tower damages of some sort. But only today did I find out that much. Phone calls in or out were not possible. WiFi and texting were and are fine. Ping is fine. Unable to talk to anyone online. The local Cricket store I visited tried to convince me my phone was to blame. I bought an unlocked brand new phone on Amazon after being told the Windows phone I had been using for years had no trade in value even though the rep on the phone line said it would if I upgraded to a Motorola. Anyway after a while the clerk in the store sold me a sim card for $10.81. it worked for an hour. I discovered after coming here that Crickes Facebook page could help. It worked. Sort of. At least I found out it was a company technical issue with a tower or many that was at play. Now why for freaking out load could Crickets minion clerk not reveal that? I was after all the only other person in the store. As you can see, there are multiple service opp
