So upsetting, I just received a USED/Refurbished phone through Cricket Insurance/Asurion after breaking mine. I got HOODWINKED into spending $75.00 on a deductible on a USED phone!!!! The phone barely costs $200.00 new, so that was a shocker, but a whole other story I'm afraid. The phone came to me with Ads/Videos that continuously play and not only scare the living daylights out of me, but suck my battery, play in the middle of meetings, and embarrass me to NO end. I called Crickey who said I should send it in and that they will then send me another refurbished phone. Is this a joke, I cannot be without a phone for a week. Oh and I have an idea - How about you simply tell me how to remove the ads. I do not have the energy or time to drive to UPS and mail my phone out and wait for another one, that will most assuredly come with ads. My BYOD OnePlus 5T has NEVER been able to send or receive SMS with pictures, no matter how small (can't even send a 50kb JPG). When I try to send a text with a picture, 5-10 seconds after I click send ( >>) I get "Message not sent: service not activated on network"I've revised/added/deleted APN settings over and over based on the latest blog suggestions, confirmed that MMS will not work when I am connected to my Wifi or not, tried three or four different texting apps (Messages (default - blue icon) Messages (green icon, Textra, WhatsApp), on my 3rd Cricket-issued SIM, had Cricket retail technicians try to fix, etc. I am ready to switch to another provider. PLEASE, someone, HELP!
I've had an account with Cricket for close to two yeas and have not been able to receive MMS. Cannot receive pictures from non iOS devices or group messages from non iOS users. I have done the following:-Troubleshoot with Cricket customer support at least over a dozen separate times. Useless.-Turned off WiFi-Disabled iMessage-Reset network settings-Reset all settings-Reset phone-Change to a different iPhone-Changed sims-Bought new sim-Changed to a different provider, then back to cricketNothing works.HELP! P.S. Please don't suggest to reset network settings or reset the phone or reboot the phone or anything else listed above. IT WONT WORK!
I am using a IPhone SE with the latest update. Usually I text this specific person frequently but now I can’t send messages to them. With other contacts i’m able to send messages without any problems but this person i’m able to recieve messages but I’m not able to send them. I already tried the settings and changing it to send as SMS but it didn’t make a difference since the other person already had an android and I’ve alre tried resetting my phone but that didn’t work either. How can I fix this?
Couple days ago I switched over to Cricket and brought my own device (iPhone 6s) and transferred my phone number.I activated the SIM card and I'm able to make phone calls, data and single text messages, but I'm not able to send Group Texts. I called the hotline and walked through the usual steps, OS upgrade, Network Reset, re-boot. At the end of the day they couldn't help. With the SIM Card from Cricket I'm not able to see the Carrier Network Configuration option under Settings/Cellular/Carrier Services to update the APN settings manually. They actually should automatically update with the SIM card, but since Group Message are not working I suspect an incorrect configuration. Any help is appreciated
I just transferred my ATT Samsung Galaxy S7 to Cricket yesterday. Today I started seeing pop up ads randomly covering over whatever I was doing. It's terribly annoying.I checked some of the other questions and opted out at liveramp, I don't use Chrome as a browser, I couldn't find the "My Cricket" file that others suggested disabling (even after I asked it to show me system files too) and I didn't load any new apps since I switched to Cricket. It must be something to do with the new Cricket sim card. It's the only thing that has changed.Help please. This is an untenable situation - the ads are that bad!Kindra
I have been looking to get the Honor 8x. The phone on Amazon says it supports Band 5, but not 17. I am slightly confused as to what is accurate. As the seller says it will work on LTE for ATT/Cricket, but the tech specs seem to be slightly off and one reviewer said it didnt get LTE speed. I am based in CA, but travel to various parts of the country as well, so hopefully it would get LTE coverage everywhere. New customer. I can’t send pictures to anyone. Turning off MMS does prompt a “MMS must be turned on” error, but doing so doesn’t help. I have tried resetting network settings. Didn’t help. iMessages and text work. I have no place in settings to edit APN settings as I have with other carriers.iPhone 6, iOS 12.1.2
I have Cricket Wireless and the AT&T apps on my phone are such a nuisance. Is there a way to remove all the AT&T apps and replace with all Cricket Wireless apps. As an example, when my phone starts up, I'd like to see Cricket Wireless instead of AT&T. Thank you in advance.
Morning!I have my old Verizon LG G5 that had a broken screen. Replaced the screen and want to use it with my Cricket Plan.Well, swapped in the SIM Card and it selected Global network, which is 3G or less and one bar.Went through the settings suggested under the BYOP setup, and had LTE last for a short period last night. Somewhere over the night it switched back to Global.With the Samsung Cricket phone, we go from 2 to 3 bars, not always LTE where we live.Question 1: How do I get it to stay on the correct network? Question 2: Is there a way to get rid of the Verizon programming in the phone?Thank You!
Hi Folks,Recently purchased a Moto e5 Cruise. Trying to install Yahoo mail app and it won't work. By that I mean I download & install the app. Open the app, at the prompt I enter email address for my existing Yahoo account. I press the "next" button and nothing happens. It is supposed to go to an enter password screen but it just stays at the user name prompt. The button flashes briefly then just stays same page. I have deleted the app and reinstalled it several times. Tried all reasonable variations of my user name (w/out @, etc), looked all over the web, nada. Any ideas here? Gmail works fine as do all other apps and features. I am stumped.
I'm on the gulf coast. For a few years now I've had intrusions in my phone calls. I'll be talking with someone and suddenly I hear weird breathing sounds and gibberish that is unexplainable. Sounds like aliens have intercepted my signal or something. Other noises sound like Clicks, screeching and dropped calls. What is it? Very unsetteling and annoying.
