I purchased my Iphone through Cricket and have been a customer for over 1 year. I've requested my phone to be unlocked multiple times for almost 2 months and have not been able to get it unlocked. This was supposed to be available to me after 6 months of service. very poor response even though I've lived up to my part of the deal.
I have a 2019 Alcatel that I am trying not to loathe. I only use my phone for actual phone stuff, and to watch YouTube news programs. I also have the hotspot app so I can use my computer for actual computer stuff like research and email. I live where there is a signal (usually 3-5 bars) but NO WIFI. Which evidently is required for the automatic software updates I get. Constantly. They interrupt a news show, a text message I am in the middle of, etc. They are a constant banner on my screen when I turn it on. And I have zero access to public wifi. How do I turn off the Automatic Cricket Software Updates????? (yes, a little frustrated here) thanks :)
I can't even find a way to search for this bizarre behavior.I have had a Cricket voice mail account for many years. Callers are greeted with "Hi,<caller name>, <my name> is not available..."When my wife calls, she is greeted by "Hi, Phyllis..." My wifes name is not Phyllis!The greeting works correctly for my other contacts. I have tried changing her contact info, etc., to no avail. This has happened on three different phones I have owned over the years.I know it grabs the name from my contacts, but her contact info is not shared with a "Phyllis," or anyone else. Has anyone else ever experienced this? Cricket support?Help, it is driving my wife and I nuts.
For the past couple of months, I have been receiving text messages from various email addresses, sending links to porn sites. I can't figure out how to block these. I'd like to just block all messages from emails, since they keep changing the email address, and no one I know texts from email. Any solutions?Thanks!
I have been unable to get voicemail set up on my iPhone, even with the assistance of a customer service rep at 611. The message on my system says, "Welcome to the message management system" and asks for the number being called. If I enter my number, it says that it is not a valid number. I have now had my VM rest 3x, turned my phone on and off with each reset and still no luck>>>>PLEASE HELP!
I spend my winters in a place that requires me to get a temporary Cricket # to use the mobile hotspot to connect to my regular phone and to have internet access on my computer. Last winter I used a phone I received from a family member, it wasn't a Cricket phone but the hotspot worked perfectly. In November I got a new Cricket number and the phone also worked perfectly, hotspot and all. But suddenly since yesterday whenever I connect to my hotspot, pages take ages to upload (up to 10 min if they even upload), something I had never experienced before. Talking with Cricket customer service people it seems like their system suddenly decided to block the hotspot on my phone that was working perfectly fine. I'm extremely disappointed with them as I have been using their services without any problems until.now. As I don't want to buy yet another phone, I will have to go to another company, unless there exists a magical cure to make my hotspot work properly again?
Been enjoying this phone for over a year & a half without any issues. Out of nowhere, upon turning my phone on this morning, it on shows a black screen asking me to accept, "Cricket Wi-Fi Manager License" Of which, I've been trying to do so (clicking onto I Agree) the phone remains 'locked' & will not allow me to go any further.The phone rings, I can't answer it. I hear chats coming through, can't open them up to see. It remains locked onto that screen & can't or won't go further.Not sure what to do here....
I've seen others post about this. The phone keeps closing apps, like when I listen to music. I've tried it all. Factory reset. Different media apps. Power Saving options. There's no lack of RAM. There's no other options to prevent the phone from closing apps.Can Cricket please help? I don't have warranty and wasn't expecting such an issue. Please patch the phone so it doesn't close apps when not wanted. Thank you.
I have tried a long list of addresses (shown below) to try and send an email to my phone as a text message. None of these six addresses shown below work.What address (combined with my 10-digit phone number first) will email@example.com@firstname.lastname@example.org@email@example.com@mms.att.net
Has anyone with a Samsung A50 been able to utilize the wifi capability with Cricket? I have almost no service at my home and solely rely on the wifi option and before I order a new unlocked A50 phone I wanted to see if anyone was having success with it and the wifi calling option. The A50 is not on the approved listing for WiFi capable phones supported by Cricket and their tech support could not tell me if it would work or why it was not listed.
I have noticed over the last several months that I have not been receiving calls while at my office. I have full signal showing in the status bar and signal strength shows at -90 dBm 50 asu on LTE. While not directly next to a window, I do have line of sight to a wall of windows about 15 yards away. I often only find out about the missed calls one of two ways: text message or voicemail from the caller, and I only get the voicemail notification if I move to another location within the building. I have 2 other lines on my account and my line is the only one this regularly happens to.Quick device info:Pixel 2 XL carrier unlocked, Android 10 with December security patch, default APN settings imported from Cricket during initial setup
I have cricket and am on the 55 dollar unlimited plan. Most stuff works ok but lately downloading apps from the google play store literally takes HOURS. Downloading apps over wifi is very fast as expected. For example downloading the uber app (less than 60mb) took me over an hour. I have full bars and other stuff like internet YouTube and stuff works fine but downloading or updating apps is excruciatingly slow. I've talked with technical support from cricket and also with tech support from google play and have been unable to resolve the issue. Have tried everything. The phone is 8 months old and is in excellent condition. My bill is due on the 15th and I am planning on porting my number and switching to boost mobile tomorrow. I've talked to countless techs from Google and cricket and my problem persists.
I'm posting this hoping to help someone like me in the future. I ordered a phone on Thursday, on Friday I was emailed that my order was delayed. On Monday it was cancelled completely. I was told to order again, so I did it is now Tuesday and my order has been delayed again. They say it's my bank not releasing the funds, but my bank said the funds were released yesterday. So, now it's a waiting game. So I will update when I receive another email. Who knows if I will ever actually receive the phone or not. I know if it is cancelled again, I won't order again and they will have just lost out on a new customer. Beware ordering online! 🤦🤦
