Phones & Devices
I work in the Technology division for a school district. The district just rolled out Passpoint-WIFI in all of our buildings. They also moved our division-issued iPhones from Verizon to T-Mobile, and pushed down a policy that connects them to Passpoint. They seem to work fine. The issue I’m having is that I have a personal iPhone XR (iOS 17.1) on Cricket Wireless that works so-so on Passpoint. Specifically, the iPhone email app will not refresh and get updates. It just spins. I use Gmail as my email provider. Some other apps that I have installed that use Internet access, such as Grammarly also time out.I have Googled the crap out of this and have found nothing that helps.Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
My wife's IPhone 8+ is in SOS only mode. We have tried all of the suggestions to no avail. Took it to the Cricket.store. They were unable to get it to work and suggested the phone was to old and needed to be replaced. Other carriers report the phone is supported. Any help would be appreciated.
Hello earlier today I decided to reset my phone to factory setting however I selected esim instead of keeping esim and now I can not make any phone calls or anything and I seriously need to get my phone working again because of my doctors and medical personel that I communicate with. Please help thanks.
I have never set up my voicemail and now that I’m back to work and a lot busier I need to activate it asap. I’m not getting any option to reset on the website, in the app and no luck with customer service because it’s Sunday. I called my local cricket wireless and without any reset option on the website I’ll have to take my phone in. Can anyone help me with this? I have the iPhone 11
I have been having all kinds of issues lately with the network on all of the phones on my account. I can't make phone calls, text, or use mobile data. Phone only will work with WiFi. I've called customer several times and still no resolution to the problem. It is happening on multiple lines on my account. Customer service has been NO HELP the several times I have called them about this issue. It has grown VERY FRUSTRATING that I am seriously thinking about switching to someone else. I use to never have any problems with Cricket. I need answers!!!!!
I get messages through Visual Voicemail and it works well for the most part. One problem, and it may not be an issue with VV, but I have noticed on two different Samsung phones, an S10 and an A53, that I can delete a message from VV, but the notification that tells me I have voicemail still appears. I can call voicemail from the notification, but before I can access the message I have to log in with a password which I guess must be a series of numbers. I don't remember setting up voicemail outside of the VV client. How can I either reset my voicemail password or disable the notification. I do not want to disable notifications from VV.
I have the Icon 4 I bought from Cricket. It interrupts me several times a day telling me to get the software update. I would Love to do just that. But it will ONLY do so over wifi. I do NOT have wifi. It's not possible. Yet that interrupting screen won't stop. Use my data I don't care. I have the Unlimited data plan.
At 8:00 a.m. and 9:00 p.m. everyday like clockwork mysterious music just pops up on my phone for no reason and I have no idea where it's coming from. It's irritating elevator / Opera movie music and I have no idea where it's coming from and it's getting on my nerves and I don't know what to do can someone please help me??
Hello,My phone was lost around January and the cricket phone insurance replaced it with another one. Recently, While moving out of the house I found the old phone. I wanted to pass it to my little sister and add her to my cricket plan. Will cricket be able to unblock it?
So a few days or so ago, I decided to delete some unused apps I had on my phone. I don't know what exactly I deleted but now the date and weather display widget on my home screen is different than when i originally acquired the phone. I've included two screenshots showing the new unwanted one (from October 11) and the old one I want back (that shows September 5 as the date).I also have another unwanted change I want reversed, involving notifications. Before all this happened, usually whenever I got notifications while my phone is in "sleep mode" (black screen, as though it were turned off, not being used) the screen would remain black but the screen would fade brighter and silently show the notification. However since this mishap, when I get notifications with the phone "sleeping", the screen would bright up showing the full display background with the notification. I do not want this. Is it possible for me to go back to getting the notifications with the black background again? Thanks
mycricket is temporarily unavailable There was a problem trying to connect to the server. Please try again. This happened on my old phone Pixel 3a running Andriod 12 and now on my new phone Pixel 7a. I have cleared the cache and data, uninstalled and reinstalled. Wifi off and I do not get the message. I think it is a setting with my network wifi. Any suggestions?
I am no longer on Cricket. Is there a way to tell if my phone was originally bought from Cricket versus from some other reseller?
I am no longer using Cricket.. My phone is still locked to Cricket. Is there a way to tell if my phone was originally bought from Cricket versus from some other reseller? (I didn’t originally buy it myself.)
Why does the timer selection lack flexibility, ranging from 30 seconds to 1,2,3,4,5 minutes, then abruptly leap to 'Never'?Primarily, why isn't there a more intuitive option allowing users to select their desired time duration using a standard dial function? Additionally, the current minute-based selection seems impractical, as the difference between 2 and 3 minutes or 30 seconds to 1 minute appears inconsequential. The abrupt transition from 5 minutes to 'Never' proves especially bothersome. If restricted to only 7 options, wouldn't a more balanced selection, such as 1, 5, 15, and 30 minutes, followed by 1 and 2 hours (suitable for a show or movie duration during sleep), culminating in 'Never', be a more logical choice? This baffling decision raises concerns, prompting the question of whether anyone at Apple has recognized this apparent flaw. Are there any valid justifications for the current structure, or does it warrant a reevaluation?
