Phones & Devices
I switched to Cricket from H20 wireless. I am using an unlocked iPhone XS. Cricket offered me an LG Stylo 5 for $50. Cricket said they would unlock it after 6 months. I lost track of the time. 10 months later I remembered and asked Cricket to unlock the phone as they promised. Cricket refused. Cricket said customers have at least 6 months of active service on their device before they are eligible to have it unlocked. Despite paying for service and buying the phone, Cricket used a loophole to break their promise. Cricket must fulfill their promise and their word. Cricket declined , but that is what was required to keep integrity.
Cricket Wireless / Management Service and their at time of policy 105 Ride Way Ste B Flowood, MS 39232, United StatesI made a purchase of the cell phone and switched my service on Monday May 06, 2019@ 5:10 p.m. CST. On Saturday May 11, 2019 I plugged in the headphones and it will not connect to hear anything. So on Sunday being Mother's Day I didn't got to the store location to switch the phone I preferred to spend that time with my mother. Knowing that I have 7 days to switch it, I called the store when I got off work on Monday May 13, 2019 @5:00 p.m. I was then told by the rep/store manager Amber S that sold me the phone that I had 7 days. Because I made my purchase at 5:10 and it is 5:23 I am over my 7 days time frame. So then I called the 611 as she stated I will have to do because her manager stated they will not switch the phone out because I am after the 7 day. That is the most dumbest I have ever heard of that if it is at the time on the receipt it
I like hassle free. That’s what brought me to Cricket in the first place. I enrolled, paid, got a discount for autopay, and forgot about it for like.. 10 years or something.See, from my perspective, I’m one of the most valuable customer types. Yes, take my money. I may get a cheaper deal else where but so long as I don’t have to think about it and it doesn’t give me trouble I’m fine to chill here. But then Cricket randomly decides to discontinue supporting my phone for no apparent reason? That’s not chill. So now I’ll go elsewhere and pay less because I will not let my phone carrier dictate which phone I can use. Thank you and goodnight.
Today I changed my $55 core plan to $60 plan which includes 5G and internet speeds higher than 8mbps.for some reason I can’t make 5G work on my phone. I have an iPhone 12 Pro Max which I bought unlocked at apple.I know my plan has changed because i can see higher internet speeds and hotspot enabled. But I can’t choose 5G as preferred network. All the options I have is 4G and LTE. I’ve followed directions from different agents at the tech support with no success. I reset network settings several times, I updated iOS to the latest version, they made some changes on the line as well, I gave them IMEI number, and also installed my SIM card in another iPhone 12 Pro Max unlocked but Still no 5G, only LTEany help would be appreciated
I chatted online with an agent before I bought the iPhone SE promotion. Now cricket told me that the information from that agent was wrong. There is nothing they can do. I will need to continue with $60 plan for 3 months before I can change it. The agent I talked to before purchasing the order clearly told me that I can change my plan anytime after activae my phone. Cricket should honor the information from the agent. Attached is the relevant chat history a few hours before bought the iPhone SE (Oct 24th) on Cricket, I would be happy to forward the whole transcript if needed: USER: I will have to subscribe for the $60 plan to be eligible, or could I change my plan after the first month AGENT (Ron): While placing the order you need to select $60 UL more AGENT (Ron): For 3 month to get the device at $0.00 AGENT (Ron): However as soon as your services are active you can contact us we can change the rate plan accordingly USER: okay I see, so I have to subscribe the $60 when I place the o
Bought a new phone for my son’s birthday. A Motorola G8 plus. read a bunch of reviews that said it would work on Cricket. My son put his sim card in the new phone and it failed. He tried putting the sim card back in his old phone , A Motorola G6, and it still wouldn’t work.I assumed he had somehow damaged the sim so I sent him down to the Cricket store to get a new one. They informed him that the New G8 isn’t supported because Cricket is disabling 3G. The G8 came out last year. It does 4G. It’s 2 generations newer than the phone he was using. They told him there was nothing they could do. He had to call 611 to get his sim card reactivated. We tried that. We were informed that his old phone is no longer supported so they wouldn’t turn it back on.My wife is still using a G6. It still works!!!! saying it isn’t supported is a lie. ATT isn’t shutting down 3G until febuary 2022.At this point, I feel I’m being robbed. I paid for a phone that Cricket has disabled without warning. I’ve paid for a
I just purchased an unlocked S20 FE, direct from Samsung. I have also been using Cricket Wireless for about 3 years now, with an unlocked S9 Plus. However, after putting my SIM card in the S20 FE, I received a message that the device is not compatible with their network. When I made a call to Cricket's customer service, I was told that there is nothing they can do to activate my new phone with their network. Even though Cricket offers the exact same phone for sale, through their website! It seems like Cricket is moving toward forcing their customers to purchase phones through them. Which is a shame, because that is going to force me to do business with a different wireless network.
Even though I replaced a new sim card. Changed the APN, restart my phone, airplane mode, reset network, etl...... Still no 5g. Can anybody help? Thank you!!!!Edit: I'm sure there is 5G coverage in my area because my wife's Galaxy s21 ultra got the 5g all the time.
I have had my Moto G7 Supra for 2 years. On 30 Oct 2021 my phone started having intermittent service. Mobile Data has "No SIM Card." I have turned the phone off and on. I have checked the SIM card position. I have wiped the SIM to remove any dust. I stopped at the local retail store. The employee told me it is probably a setting or new app. I have not changed any settings or downloaded any apps in the 3 weeks. It costs $10 to buy a new SIM card. The employee said that probably won't help. After reading comments, I have no idea what else to do. I cannot make or receive calls or texts.
Hi, I have a Moto G Power, and I cannot figure out how to make it install my Software and app updates using my Data. I don't have easy access to Wi-Fi and nothing has been updated in a few months. I'm getting worried, I know there's no faster way to ruin a phone than let the apps get to far behind. It just will not give me the data option. Someone told me I have to factory reset my phone to switch it to data. I'll do it if I have too, but it's such a pain, I want to make sure there's no other way first. Thanks in advance.
I've had a mobile hotspot for 3 months and this problem is getting worse. The device consistently shows a strong signal, 4 or 5 bars, but frequently my phone or laptop will say I have no internet connection, even though the Wi-Fi connection is also strong. This lasts anywhere from a few seconds to a few minutes. Even when there is a connection it's often so unstable that email will not download.Since the hotspot is for data only this makes it almost useless. I did a factory reset and it did not solve the problem.
Hi All.I have a weird problem We have 3 lines on Cricket. As of last Friday, we're no longer able to send or receive phone calls at our home. We can receive texts. The internet works. If we drive a few miles away everything works fine. Cricket said there was a tower out yesterday but it was back in service today. Does anyone have any ideas? Thanks
We switched two phones from Verizon and my work phone from Straight Talk all over to Cricket. All three are different versions of the iPhone, the newest being an iPhone 11 and the oldest being an iPhone 6. We immediately noticed texts messages can be extremely delayed, some never sending or being received at all. This happens on a daily basis. All phones have iOS up to date and all phones were troubleshooted with everything under the sun found on the internet. We also noticed things that use WiFi are now slower (also thoroughly troubleshooted), and we don’t get Ring doorbell notifications until two minutes after someone leaves our front stoop. Is this SIM card related? Server related? And ultimately, is this something that can be fixed? If not we will need to switch immediately, as my work phone often requires a prompt response to text messages.
I have never flashed any custom firmware or rooted this thing. I would add more details but my phone keeps restarting to this screen. Clearing cache in recovery let's it boot again but soon locks after a little use. I have no idea what's going on any help would be appreciated.just wanted to mention the cracks are on the Whitestone dome screen protector and the phone has been in a case since I bought it. It's still in immaculate condition. Update1: I have decided to reflash this myself, it took awhile but I found a June patch Odin image of the exact baseband version my phone is running right now. Unfortunately because I don't want to pay for a premium membership from samfrew.com I am stuck waiting 15 hours @ 115kb/s but it's still faster than tinychat @ 15kb/s. I used to do all rooting and romming from the early android years (Epic 4g, Epic touch 4g, note2) so I'm fairly familiar with what I'm doing. Since I am flashing official firmware with official tools there shouldn't be any s
