Phones & Devices
For the past couple of months, I have been receiving text messages from various email addresses, sending links to porn sites. I can't figure out how to block these. I'd like to just block all messages from emails, since they keep changing the email address, and no one I know texts from email. Any solutions? Thanks!
We switched two phones from Verizon and my work phone from Straight Talk all over to Cricket. All three are different versions of the iPhone, the newest being an iPhone 11 and the oldest being an iPhone 6. We immediately noticed texts messages can be extremely delayed, some never sending or being received at all. This happens on a daily basis. All phones have iOS up to date and all phones were troubleshooted with everything under the sun found on the internet. We also noticed things that use WiFi are now slower (also thoroughly troubleshooted), and we don’t get Ring doorbell notifications until two minutes after someone leaves our front stoop. Is this SIM card related? Server related? And ultimately, is this something that can be fixed? If not we will need to switch immediately, as my work phone often requires a prompt response to text messages.
Is there a way to locate your other device that you have on your plan? Without having the other phones passwords for codes is there a way to track my other phone on my plan? Long story short it's my teenage daughter who has it and she likes to sneak out so I'm trying to find out where she's going any help would be great
For the past 3 days, when I use Google Assistant to verbally create a text message, I get the error:"Cricket here. We are sorry but your text message failed. Your destination is not supported from your current location." This happens while I am driving to or from work (and I have never had this problem in the past 18 months of driving to work). It happens at home. It happens when texting family members. I have a Samsung S9. I am using Google's Messages. According to the Play Store, I have the most current version.Any idea what is going on?
Hello.. I am an existing customer now for years using cricket wireless. I just saw a new "Cricket Moto G6" phone on sale at Walmart.Question : Can I just buy this phone from Walmart and take my existing Cricket Sim card from my current Alcatel Idol 3 phone and activate the new Cricket Moto G6 phone ? Or do I need another Sim card from Cricket or Walmart? Would be nice to avoid the $25 fee from cricket. Also the fact the new Walmart phone says "Cricket Moto G6" would that cause a problem? Thank you so much for your help.
After many happy years using cricket as 1 of my 2 Sims in many international phones that operate on the correct LTE bands and with all the latest features, cricket suspends my line if I use a completely compatible device that's not on their very limited list. I figure there must be more people experiencing a similar issue recently as they suspend lines for "incompatible" phones, so I thought is post this.
We recently received a new Google Pixel 6. We bought the unlocked version that is supposed to work on all carriers. Switched the sim over and the phone wouldn’t work, furthermore the number showed up as suspended on myCricket. We switched it back into the original phone and after a while the suspension was lifted. The Cricket website lists the Pixel 6 as supported, however when we plug the imei number it says the device is not supported.Anyone have an idea what is happening? Any suggestions? Thanks!
I have been a Cricket customer for over a year...I bought a new iphone XS at Best Buy with no sim card and no cell service contract, was told it will work with all providers. I removed the sim card (Cricket) from my old device, installed in my new phone and powered up, it worked immediately. About a month later I tried to switch service to Verizon who told me phone was compatible. Tried their sim card and doesn't work because Cricket locked my phone. Yes, MY PHONE, that I paid for in full. I have not been able to get Cricket to unlock my phone. I had to pay for another months service Or lose my number and still have a locked phone. What gives a "bring your device, pay as you go" company the right to lock my phone? I have spoken with Cricket support every day to get this resolved to no avail. They keep promising to call me back, still waiting.Verizon charged me for sim card and first months service before they would try the sim card. They told me
I currently have a LG Escape 3 and up until recently I liked the Visual Voicemail app that was on the phone. However, it appears to have been updated as recently as two days ago and now it no longer works. When I get voicemails, they no longer are accessible thru Visual Voicemail, and if I try to check the "Greeting" it just spins forever and if I go back to the Settings page I get this constant "Unavailable at this time" message at the bottom of the screen..I just wondered if it was an issue with the app, my phone, and if I'm going to need to factory reset it or not to get it to work again? Thanks.Bruce
I have been with Cricket for several years. I've been using a Samsung Galaxy S8 and never had a problem. All of a sudden last week my text messages stopped sending to people 50% of the time (I can receive text messages just fine.) When I send a text, half of the texts I send will have a blue spinning circle next to them and then an error message pops up that says "message failed" and my phone asks me to review the message and try again. Sometimes when I click "retry" it will send. Sometimes it won't. It happens no matter if I'm on wifi or not, and I for sure have full service. I've tried making sure my phone's SMSC number hasn't been changed or deleted. It hasn't. I refreshed it just in case. I've tried clearing the messaging cashe. Turning airplane mode on then off. Resetting my phone. Nothing has fixed the issue. What isn't making sense to me is the fact that some messages are sending and some aren't. I can send a message that says "test" to the same number three times and the first
I need to enter my phone number on my Blizzard account for an added layer of protection. I have the usual contract, pay by the month and can receive texts and all that. However Blizzard tells me that there is a code on my phone put on by Cricket which will not allow my phone to be used on their site. What is this code they are talking about? And can it be taken off? This is my only phone and I really don't want to switch to another plan at the moment. On Blizzard's forum there are many people having the same problem as I am using their Cricket plan phones on their website. Perhaps Cricket can contact Blizzard and figure this out?
Hi all! I have an unlocked OnePlus 5 with a Cricket SIM. It's not a new phone, but it works perfectly and is 4G LTE compatible. I got a text this morning from Cricket saying that 3G support will be ending in February 2022 (fine, cool) and that my device will no longer be supported (what?)I tried calling Cricket to ask why I'd be getting a text that doesn't seem relevant, but the guy palmed me off talking about “changes to the network” without actually explaining why shutting down 3G means a 4G phone would no longer be compatible. He insisted it's because it's unlocked, but then said any iPhone from 6S onward, unlocked or on Cricket, would work fine. Clear as mud, right? So I wanted to ask here if anyone can shed any light on what this actually means, or if it's a mistake on their end. If it isn't, I'll probably just switch network rather than pay for a new phone - Cricket isn't the only budget carrier anymore!
Cricket has basically HIJACKED TWO iphones on our plan with them and REFUSE to UNLOCK them!! I have been with Cricket for over a year and the phone was purchased from Best Buy as UNLOCKED!! When I went to another provider, they claim to have unlocked my phones, but that has yet to happen! I have gone 3 days without a phone and had to purchase a new one because Cricket REFUSES to release my phone that they never had the authority to lock! My daughter is now stuck and although she received a message that her phone has been unlocked, it has not! This should be a class action lawsuit!! How does Cricket get away with this????EXTREMELY DISSATISFIED CUSTOMER!
My BYOD OnePlus 5T has NEVER been able to send or receive SMS with pictures, no matter how small (can't even send a 50kb JPG). When I try to send a text with a picture, 5-10 seconds after I click send ( >>) I get "Message not sent: service not activated on network"I've revised/added/deleted APN settings over and over based on the latest blog suggestions, confirmed that MMS will not work when I am connected to my Wifi or not, tried three or four different texting apps (Messages (default - blue icon) Messages (green icon, Textra, WhatsApp), on my 3rd Cricket-issued SIM, had Cricket retail technicians try to fix, etc. I am ready to switch to another provider. PLEASE, someone, HELP!
I have tried a long list of addresses (shown below) to try and send an email to my phone as a text message. None of these six addresses shown below work. What address (combined with my 10-digit phone number first) will firstname.lastname@example.org@email@example.com@firstname.lastname@example.org@mms.att.net

When will unlocked phones that have 5g capabilities be able to use the 5g network? I have a Samsung S20 Ultra Unlocked, from Samsung. Please don't respond with a list of 5g compatible phones or a map of the 5g coverage as I have gotten that response almost every time I've asked. Thanks so much!
