I have a Samsung Galaxy S8+ and I want to know if the Mobile Hotspot feature will work on the S8+. All of the S line is listed as being compatible with the HotSpot but not the Plus versions. I chatted online and the support person at first responded yes the S8 will work but then I re-clarified that I was asking about the S8+. The said only if I purchased the phone from Cricket. They don't sell an S8+ so obviously that doesn't help and I don't want to buy a new phone. So I went to a store and they were even more clueless than than the CSR so I thought while I was at the store they could provide me a SIM to test. They said I could purchase a SIM and try it but if it didn't work they couldn't give me a refund. That is absurd! All I want to know is will the Mobile Hotpost work on my phone before I purchase a SIM. I currently use the phone with Simple Mobile on the TMobile network. It used to be an ATT phone.
Why haven’t I had any service in my area and surrounding areas. My family and friends who also have cricket and at&t have been deal with no service since Friday. We live wilder and other surrounding areas and having no service. Can you guys please fix whatever is going on with that cell towers please
Two phone calls and a visit to local Cricket office have failed to fix this issue which has surfaced in recent months after more than a year of satisfactory service.Sending via MMS is unreliable. Rarely sends on the first attempt. But apparently I can receive OK.Internet searches suggest the problem is DNS returning an MMS server IP address which is not reachable via WiFi and the public internet. Suggests an override setting for Android which is not possible on iOS. But that provides a hint which usually works: disable WiFi on my iPhone, reboot, and then it seems to reliably send MMS for a few days. But recently has starting having trouble sending SMS too. But no problem messaging to Apple users on iCloud.Would think an unreachable IP address would result in an instant failure, but the failure message takes minutes. Green bar appears across the top of screen, reaches about 95% then hangs for minutes until the error message. This seems to be more of a timeout at the server than unreacha
IM SICK OF CARRIERS WHO DO NOT ALLOW MMS OVER WIFI BECAUSE SOME OF US WHO ARE IN A SO CALLED RURAL AREA CANNOT SEND OR RECEIVE MESSAGES WHEN WIFI CALLING IS OUR ONLY OPTION BECAUSE CARRIERS REFUSE TO BUILD TOWERS IM ONLY 10 MINUTES AWAY FROM AN AT&amp;T SIGNAL I ONLY HAVE ONE CARRIER OPTION AT MY HOME WHICH IS CSPIRE AND THEY DO NOT SUPPORT voLTE OR WIFI CALLING AND THAT IS A REQUIRMENT FOR ME AND THEY RIGHT OUT SUCK I SIGNED A CONTRACT WITH THEM BUT BROKE IT AFTER IT WAS UNRELIABLE SERVICE EVERY WEEK THEY WERE DOWN AND WOULDNT REIMBURSE US EVERY MONTH THEY ALSO DO NOT TELL YOU THAT THEY DO NOT HAVE THOSE FEATURES WHEN EVERY OTHER CARRIER IN AMERICA HAS THOSE FEATURES I HAVE ALSO BEEN FIGHTING AT&amp;T FOR OVER A DECADE TO BUILD A TOWER IN THIS CITY I HAVE MOVED A TOTAL OF 4 TIMES AND THERE SIGNAL ALWAYS SUCKS WITH JUST 1 BAR WITH SPARADIC SERVICE OR NO BARS AT ALL WHEN ARE CARRIERS GOING TO REALIZE THAT TOWERS DO NOT WORK THEY ALSO WANT TO BUILD TOWERS IN AREAS THAT DONT NEED
My signal keeps disappearing every few minutes and then coming back, disappearing and coming back, every 3-4 minutes for 2 days now I can hardly do anything with my phone. This is the 4th time in the past 2 months this has happened. All 4 times on a Sunday-Monday. What's going on with the towers in my area? Who knows. Every time I can call customer service I get someone in the Philippines who tells me there doesn't seem to be any problem in my area. They don't know anything. So now I'm done with Cricket and in 2 weeks I'm changing to a different company. I highly recommend anyone who has issues not to waste any more of their time and just ditch Cricket since they don't care about customers with issues anyway. You'll just go around in circles with nothing ever resolved.
Hello I am trying to find out if any/all of the Xiaomi phones would work on crickets cellular network in my area ( Bozeman, Montana), Ideally I would like to see if LTE coverage would be supported! Neither phone seems to be transmitting a hotspot wifi signal. My test: 1.Turned on hotspot on 6s2. Made sure hotspot was off on 113. turned on wifi on 11 but 6s hotspot never listedDid the reverse with same disappointing result.Not listed on computer wifi either.Reset both phones and repeated. Same disappointing results. HELP!!!
Okay so 2 people I currently live with in Yuma Arizona seem to have completely lost service but in a strange way...their phones won't accept calls, data works much slower than usual and their timezones change to California time zones at first I suspected the cell phone tower but can anyone help me?
I have a Nokia 3.1+ and went into the call settings and found that number is used to forward calls for when busy, unanswered and unreachable and want to know 'why'?What if I delete the number? I read this is the setting to set the ring duration (which is what i'm trying to determine and change if possible)
I was told that coming from ATT that I would have the same service and same towers. Most of the time I would get 30-40 mbps download speeds through ATT and now that I am on Cricket they are much slower. I was lied to about service and that is how they got mine. I later Googled it and now know they cap it but the employees (several of them) lied to me.
Recently I upgraded from the 50 dollar plan to the 60 dollar unlimited plan and it seems like my data speeds run so much slower. The internet doesn’t run very fast not only on one areal but everywhere i go. I spoke with a rep and he was trying to help when we got disconnected and now when I try to get an agent it’s saying support is now closed. Which is ridiculous since I was just speaking with someone. I also haven’t had lte data at all for the passed two days.
Hi Cricket wireless community, I am writing this because some users or high tech users need a high tech plan, with unlimited high speed data (8mps download) and able to turn off stream more so we can watch videos in 1080p. I know it will cost more but we need this plan. If cricket please can consider us. Thank you.
So, I work on the first floor of an office building. This isn't an ideal place for cell service. I in fact switched over to Cricket for the fact that the people around me that would get any kind of service at all, were with Cricket. So after switching I've had mediocre service for the past 8 months. 1-3 bars, which wasn't great, but I could stream youtube, podcasts, surf the web, text, answer phone calls and it was better than anyone else had from what I had noticed. For whatever reason last Friday the service plummeted and I wasn't able to do anything at all inside the building, even in areas I use to get even better service than at my desk. A few people around me who use to get no service at all with other providers are now getting service. I'm just wondering that has anything to do with my loss of service. I'm on my second day of having absolutely nothing unless I stand outside in the freezing cold, and even then nothing comes in unless I stand far enough away from the building. I l
