I am a single mother who lost not one, but two jobs three weeks ago. My phone bill is getting ready to roll around and for the first time I'm not going to be able to pay it. Not only do I use my phone in distress and watch a movie after I put my child to bed. I use it for her to learn on she is 3 years old is my phone going to be turned off?
We recently purchased the Cricket Icon phone which is listed as a hotspot compatible device as well as the unlimited more plan. However, when I attempt to turn on the hotspot it says I need to add that feature to our plan. I went in store and they could not help because again, that feature is listed already on our plan. They referred me to customer service and customer service told me to go to a store to resolve the issue. I feel lied to and cheated as basically everyone I spoke to just told me there's nothing that can be done. Is this phone hotspot compatible or not because the website says it is and every rep I spoke to says all phones sold in stores now are hotspot compatible as well. Please help.
RCS messaging has become the default messaging platform for Android phones. Last month mine and my wife's phone (both Moto G7+) briefly had RCS messaging for two full days before it stopped working. At first trying to access this function via the settings gave me an error "your carrier does not currently support this function." The next day it worked again, then again stopped working. This time the warning changed to "your device does not currently support this function." The second warning I know is untrue as it worked just fine the day before.The only answer has to be cricket is actively blocking this function. I don't know why. Maybe it's a stall until they find a way to monetize it or maybe they're doing it to force people to buy one of the few phones they allow it on. Doesn't matter to me, I just want it to work.Barring that, I want an explanation why cricket is blocking it.
I am a customer for cricket for a long time. Last week I add a hotspot for my plan since the 'shelter at place' on the condition that the agent told me that I can go back to my original plan. I conformed with him several times. Now after a week, I removed it and the agent said I can't since the original promotion is not available. The first 2 agents listen to my explain and said can get my original plan to me but unfortunately the phone get disconnect in the middle. After that no matter how I explain that when I made the changes and the agent said I can go back, they won't listen to me. I wonder how and where to complain this. Thanks
Sometime last week RCS features on my Moto G7 started working, which I was excited about. These sort of features I have missed dearly since my days on an iPhone. Then on Friday or Saturday they abruptly stopped working. When I went into settings to make sure they were still activated I got a message saying: "your carrier does not currently support this feature." Why would this start working and then be taken away? Is this something Cricket is actively blocking?
I have a Samsung Galaxy S8+ and I want to know if the Mobile Hotspot feature will work on the S8+. All of the S line is listed as being compatible with the HotSpot but not the Plus versions. I chatted online and the support person at first responded yes the S8 will work but then I re-clarified that I was asking about the S8+. The said only if I purchased the phone from Cricket. They don't sell an S8+ so obviously that doesn't help and I don't want to buy a new phone. So I went to a store and they were even more clueless than than the CSR so I thought while I was at the store they could provide me a SIM to test. They said I could purchase a SIM and try it but if it didn't work they couldn't give me a refund. That is absurd! All I want to know is will the Mobile Hotpost work on my phone before I purchase a SIM. I currently use the phone with Simple Mobile on the TMobile network. It used to be an ATT phone.
Why haven’t I had any service in my area and surrounding areas. My family and friends who also have cricket and at&t have been deal with no service since Friday. We live wilder and other surrounding areas and having no service. Can you guys please fix whatever is going on with that cell towers please
Two phone calls and a visit to local Cricket office have failed to fix this issue which has surfaced in recent months after more than a year of satisfactory service.Sending via MMS is unreliable. Rarely sends on the first attempt. But apparently I can receive OK.Internet searches suggest the problem is DNS returning an MMS server IP address which is not reachable via WiFi and the public internet. Suggests an override setting for Android which is not possible on iOS. But that provides a hint which usually works: disable WiFi on my iPhone, reboot, and then it seems to reliably send MMS for a few days. But recently has starting having trouble sending SMS too. But no problem messaging to Apple users on iCloud.Would think an unreachable IP address would result in an instant failure, but the failure message takes minutes. Green bar appears across the top of screen, reaches about 95% then hangs for minutes until the error message. This seems to be more of a timeout at the server than unreacha
IM SICK OF CARRIERS WHO DO NOT ALLOW MMS OVER WIFI BECAUSE SOME OF US WHO ARE IN A SO CALLED RURAL AREA CANNOT SEND OR RECEIVE MESSAGES WHEN WIFI CALLING IS OUR ONLY OPTION BECAUSE CARRIERS REFUSE TO BUILD TOWERS IM ONLY 10 MINUTES AWAY FROM AN AT&amp;T SIGNAL I ONLY HAVE ONE CARRIER OPTION AT MY HOME WHICH IS CSPIRE AND THEY DO NOT SUPPORT voLTE OR WIFI CALLING AND THAT IS A REQUIRMENT FOR ME AND THEY RIGHT OUT SUCK I SIGNED A CONTRACT WITH THEM BUT BROKE IT AFTER IT WAS UNRELIABLE SERVICE EVERY WEEK THEY WERE DOWN AND WOULDNT REIMBURSE US EVERY MONTH THEY ALSO DO NOT TELL YOU THAT THEY DO NOT HAVE THOSE FEATURES WHEN EVERY OTHER CARRIER IN AMERICA HAS THOSE FEATURES I HAVE ALSO BEEN FIGHTING AT&amp;T FOR OVER A DECADE TO BUILD A TOWER IN THIS CITY I HAVE MOVED A TOTAL OF 4 TIMES AND THERE SIGNAL ALWAYS SUCKS WITH JUST 1 BAR WITH SPARADIC SERVICE OR NO BARS AT ALL WHEN ARE CARRIERS GOING TO REALIZE THAT TOWERS DO NOT WORK THEY ALSO WANT TO BUILD TOWERS IN AREAS THAT DONT NEED
My signal keeps disappearing every few minutes and then coming back, disappearing and coming back, every 3-4 minutes for 2 days now I can hardly do anything with my phone. This is the 4th time in the past 2 months this has happened. All 4 times on a Sunday-Monday. What's going on with the towers in my area? Who knows. Every time I can call customer service I get someone in the Philippines who tells me there doesn't seem to be any problem in my area. They don't know anything. So now I'm done with Cricket and in 2 weeks I'm changing to a different company. I highly recommend anyone who has issues not to waste any more of their time and just ditch Cricket since they don't care about customers with issues anyway. You'll just go around in circles with nothing ever resolved.
