Samsung A14 no mobile service
My new (yet over 30 day old), Samsung A14 stopped working. If it shows I have any mobile service at all it will switch between 5G and lte yet there is no internet connection and will not make calls or send text messages. The only way it works is by wifi connection. I don't need to pay Cricket for that. The person I spoke with yesterday at customer support via chat had me try a few things one was to reset and restart my phone. Lo and behold the chat was closed. Beyond aggravated. I refuse to return to the closest store the service there was appalling. The girl there was on FaceTime on her laptop the entire time I was there and even while processing my transaction.
Network congestion constant at airports
I am a frequent traveler and so is my wife. There seems to be a constant trend where Cricket Wireless will barely work at certain airports. Within the terminal and until the plan is sufficiently away from the terminal. DCA and ATL are top of the list as we frequent. At any time if you are cricket I would be interested to know if data will work period in these airports. This is not congestion this is intentional. This is also illegal.
The Unlimited Plan is supposed to be capped at 3mbps down but I never receive that I’ve done serveral speed tests on different phones very expensive phones the galaxy s8+ and the galaxy s9+ and each one gets the same speeds around 1.60mbps down or a little over 2mbps but never 3mbps and this is not a time when the network is congested also I’m no where near my 22gb limit but at that speed it is super slow even for basic browsing it takes forever to load webpages and YouTube videos buffer and juts stop playing altogether they are both showing LTE I was on the same exact plan with AT&T and never had issues with this same exact plan in the same area
Cricket needs to come clean on RCS messaging
RCS messaging has become the default messaging platform for Android phones. Last month mine and my wife's phone (both Moto G7+) briefly had RCS messaging for two full days before it stopped working. At first trying to access this function via the settings gave me an error "your carrier does not currently support this function." The next day it worked again, then again stopped working. This time the warning changed to "your device does not currently support this function." The second warning I know is untrue as it worked just fine the day before.The only answer has to be cricket is actively blocking this function. I don't know why. Maybe it's a stall until they find a way to monetize it or maybe they're doing it to force people to buy one of the few phones they allow it on. Doesn't matter to me, I just want it to work.Barring that, I want an explanation why cricket is blocking it.
It seems like cricket come up with new charges every month. I pay $60 a month for unlimited data. I pay my bill now i see some faulty note on the data plan that says unlimited deluxe data or some bull is $72. Its starting to look like cricket is getting greedy. Now my data runs slow. Really slow. But its supposed to be unlimited data. A rip off
I got a 973f s10. Either way. I can put my sim in my style 5 provision my wifi calling and my hd calling but crickets system does something a few hours later after I swap my sim back to my s10. But in the mean time my wifi calling and hd calling work awesome till the system reprovision happens.So is cricket telling me my s10 is not hd compatible and my phone wont work when they shut down the 3g network. Well cricket dont you think you should figure out how to properly provision byop since I can make it work I'm sure you can. I did on my s9 by sim swap method. Provision swap back enable. And call cricket and lie and say the system showed I was on my s9 but like and tell them I'm actually on my style 5. And give them the imei. HD and wifi calling worked awesome for over a year.
$20 rate plan
I recently went into my account to change rate plans and was offered $20 a line for 5gb for my 2 lines (a total of $40) but my account total shows $70 due. Why would it show $20 a line if it isn’t offered. I would chatted with 2 very unhelpful people and would like to send an email with screenshots since i would like this offer honored otherwise it is false advertising. Does anyone know where to send it? Thanks
can not go back to original plan
I am a customer for cricket for a long time. Last week I add a hotspot for my plan since the 'shelter at place' on the condition that the agent told me that I can go back to my original plan. I conformed with him several times. Now after a week, I removed it and the agent said I can't since the original promotion is not available. The first 2 agents listen to my explain and said can get my original plan to me but unfortunately the phone get disconnect in the middle. After that no matter how I explain that when I made the changes and the agent said I can go back, they won't listen to me. I wonder how and where to complain this. Thanks
Filesize limit on Cricket Hotspot downloads?
I can't find any information on this anywhere perhaps someone here can help. Any download I attempt while using the cricket mobile hotspot is being canceled at about 4.5MB. For regular downloads through a browser I can attempted to continue the "failed" download, however for automatic updates larger than this undocumented limit, the file just gets re-downloaded over and over, never completing. Anyone have a fix for this? I didn't see any setting on my phone.
I am paying for a certain amount of data each month. Why can't I use that data how i want to use it. Why must I have to have an unlimited plan to teather a device to my phone? It makes no sense. Other carriers i have had allowed me to teather my phone to other devices with no problem. I would like to make a suggestion that mobile hotspot should be a feature on all data plans.Please allow us to use our data how we see fit.Thank you.
Slow internet in Glendale
So I’m paying $120 a month for “unlimited high speed internet” total bs i live in Glendale Arizona, near downtown, a very well populated city, there’s no reason why my internet should be this slow and I mean SLOW. I get better service out in the desert....can’t even load a picture in less than 5min , and it takes forever just to load a SONG from Spotify, I can’t refresh anything all my social media pages are stuck on the same thing..I’m not getting what I’m paying for, this makes no sense..I’m going to switch I’ve been with cricket for over 4 years
