A51 5G battery suddenly draining after overnight update

Yesterday morning I awoke and found my Samsung A51 5G off due to a dead battery, which was unusual since it was around 40% the night before and had not been used. I plugged it in for enough minutes to turn it on, and when it did come on it went through the “finishing update / optimizing apps” screens. So I figured it had updated overnight and that somehow had drained the battery.


This morning, again, my phone was off due to a dead battery. 


I have not installed any new apps or changed how I am using it. Battery seems to still charge well.


Anyone else suddenly having this issue, possibly after a software update?
