Telephone harassment occurs when someone intends to annoy, harass, or threaten you by: making a telephone continually ring. ... making repeated telephone calls where the conversation consists only of harassment, or. making a telephone call and using heavy breathing or silence with an intent to intimidate.

Why even post that on here? That's something serious and should have been taken care of immediately. The charge is $15. Well worth it if it means evading something like that, and protecting yourself. Also, it's not easy to hack a phone. That person would need to know your password to either your Gmail, or iCloud. Even so there's two-factor authentication now. So you'll be notified when someone tries to log into your phone.

It is also important to report the ongoing harassment and threats to the police. Even if the person who assaulted you has not been caught yet, the police can still investigate the harassment and take steps to protect you. Be sure to provide them with any evidence you have, such as messages or call logs, that can help in their investigation.

Changing your phone number is a good way to protect yourself from harassment. It will make it more difficult for your assailant to contact you.

Here are some steps you can take to change your phone number:

  1. Contact your cell phone carrier and let them know that you need to change your phone number.
  2. Provide your carrier with a reason for changing your number, such as harassment.
  3. Choose a new phone number.
  4. Update your contact information with your family, friends, and colleagues.

You may also want to consider the following:

  • Porting your number to a new carrier. This will allow you to keep your existing phone number when you change carriers.
  • Using a Google Voice number. Google Voice is a free service that allows you to create a new phone number that can be used to make and receive calls and texts. You can also use Google Voice to forward your calls to another phone number.
  • Using a prepaid phone. Prepaid phones allow you to use a phone without signing a contract. This can be a good option if you are worried about your assailant being able to track you down through your phone bill.

If you are still being harassed after changing your phone number, you should contact the police. You may also want to consider filing a restraining order against your assailant.

I hope this information is helpful. Please stay safe.
