I have been running the best little app ever, NOROOTfirewall on my tab S7 & added it to this phone. However, with my "new" S21, hotspot only worked once or twice. After going thru support with no results, I noticed that if this app is turned on, no hotspot. Turn off firewall, hotspot is fine. I hope this helps some of you.

Hello. I can't figure out how to make a wifi hotspot to work. Mint 20 Cinnamon, PC with wired connection (static IP) and wifi usb adapter. I set up a network connection and was able to enable the wifi hotspot. My phone and notebook see this hotspot, establish a connection, but havent ethernet. If I turn on the firewall (in-deny/out-allow), the devices see wifi, but they can't connect. How should I configure the firewall and hotspot so that my devices have the Internet and only my devices can connect to my computer (e.g. restrict the connection to the mac address or...)? Thanks.
