how do i unlock a device i bought at cricket, but is no longer on my account?

I got service through cricket 3 months ago. I brought a device of my own and I bought a new device with my service. I ended up shutting the new devices line off after the first month of service. I gave the phone to someone and now I need to get that device unlocked. How do I do that when the phone is no longer on my account?

Hey @Abby2295! All Cricket phones are locked to their service until you’ve used it with them for 6 months. They won’t unlock it for any reason before then unless you’re deployed overseas in Army or Navy, etc. Hopefully, whoever you gave it to gets Cricket service where they live!
