Import ringtone?

Badge +1

Hi guys, I just upgraded from Samsung A73 to Samsung S21+. My only concern is that the notifications and ringtones I am using on the Samsung A73 are not on the Samsung 21+. Specifically the "Rise" sound and the "Space Funk" ringtone.

I used File Commander and browsed around but didn't find any audio storage location. I know I can just download their MP3s but then when I use YT Music and play music from my phone those stupid tones show up and it's really annoying.

Basically what I'm looking to do is go into the system folder where the sounds are kept on the S9+ and move them to the same folder on the mt S10+. Is this possible?

Thank you.

You may need to plug in your old phone to a computer, and check to see if you can locate the ringtones file you want, copy and then transfer to the new device. Hope this works!

On the Samsung Galaxy S21+, the system sounds and ringtones are typically stored in a specific system folder. However, accessing and modifying system folders requires root access, which can void your device's warranty and may not be recommended unless you are experienced with such procedures.

Instead of modifying system folders, here's an alternative method to transfer and use your desired notification sounds and ringtones on your Samsung Galaxy S21+:

  1. Connect your Samsung Galaxy S21+ to your computer using a USB cable.
  2. On your computer, navigate to the folder where you have saved the "Rise" sound and "Space Funk" ringtone. If you don't have them saved, you can download them again.
  3. Create a new folder on your phone's internal storage or SD card (if available) and name it something like "Custom Sounds" to keep track of your custom tones.
  4. Copy the "Rise" sound and "Space Funk" ringtone from your computer and paste them into the "Custom Sounds" folder on your phone.
  5. Disconnect your phone from the computer.
  6. On your Samsung Galaxy S21+, go to "Settings" and select "Sounds and vibration."
  7. From the Sounds and vibration settings, tap on "Ringtone" to change the default ringtone or "Notification sound" to change the default notification sound.
  8. Scroll to the bottom of the sound list and tap on the "Add" or "Plus" button to browse for additional sounds.
  9. Locate and select the "Custom Sounds" folder where you copied the "Rise" sound and "Space Funk" ringtone.
  10. Choose the desired sound from the "Custom Sounds" folder and set it as your new ringtone or notification sound.

By following these steps, you can use your preferred notification sounds and ringtones without affecting the system files or interfering with the music playback in apps like YT Music.
