I moved service from AT&T to Cricket after 27 years because of the constant frustration of fluctuating bills, data overages… Have really liked and recommended Cricket to several of my friends and business associates. NOW being bombarded by Cricket about getting an upgraded phone because of their switch to 5G. I get receiving a heads up but this is CONSTANT call redirects and NO help AT ALL from customer service. Reluctantly, I finally decided to purchase a new phone. Of course the Samsung S20 isn’t stocked in any local store, only the crap throwaway phones, so I was directed to order one thru Cricket app. What an ordeal to set THAT up...the Cricket app is non functional, and wont allow ordering the phone. So, came here to the website- Phone listed for sale on app at 359.00 here for 429.00...MORE AGGRAVATION!!CRICKET HAS NOW FULLY EMBRACED THE AT&T MAODEL-THE AGGRIVATION NEVER STOPS
I am wanting to purchase a Samsung Galaxy note. But I do not see it online in the cricket phones available. But I can find it on other websites. I know it was offered through cricket before for purchase. I like to get rhe insurance provided, if I purchase from another retailer can I still get rhe cricket coverage. When I first got cricket, like 5 years ago.. it had to be a cricket phone, to receive the insurance. please and thank you
Cricket Free Msg: Important! Your current phone will no longer work when we shut down our 3G network in February 2022. We are here to assist with upgrade options. To help with the upgrade process, we may re-direct your call to customer service. After January 8th, we may temporarily suspend your service in order to speak to you. You can avoid service disruption by visiting https://www.cricketwireless.com/3Gshutdown, dialing 611, or visiting your nearest Cricket store. Thank you! I have two phones on Cricket for several years. Samsung S7 and Moto G Power. Both were unlocked versions purchased directly from the manufacturer in the USA. Last Friday I received text above on Samsung Galaxy S7 phone about network upgrade. Started looking into things and the IMEI numbers for both phones failed the upgrade check on both ATT and Cricket web sites. Both of these phones do 4G, LTE, and use voLTE/ARM-WB (HD Voice). As long as the device supports AMR-WB, then HD voice is possible on 4G. It’s
I just couldn’t believe my Note 9 and wife’s S9 aren’t on the whitelist? So we have to switch to another carrier?Am I understanding it wrong? The phones are still 100% perfect, nothing is wrong and is capable of 4G. in order to continue using Cricket, we have to buy two new phones? We started with Cricket because we did not like being locked and now Cricket want to enforce the arbitrary and ridiculous phone change? I am not seeing we can buy two new phones before Feb. Sad we have been with Cricket for so long.
I like hassle free. That’s what brought me to Cricket in the first place. I enrolled, paid, got a discount for autopay, and forgot about it for like.. 10 years or something.See, from my perspective, I’m one of the most valuable customer types. Yes, take my money. I may get a cheaper deal else where but so long as I don’t have to think about it and it doesn’t give me trouble I’m fine to chill here. But then Cricket randomly decides to discontinue supporting my phone for no apparent reason? That’s not chill. So now I’ll go elsewhere and pay less because I will not let my phone carrier dictate which phone I can use. Thank you and goodnight.
Even though I replaced a new sim card. Changed the APN, restart my phone, airplane mode, reset network, etl...... Still no 5g. Can anybody help? Thank you!!!!Edit: I'm sure there is 5G coverage in my area because my wife's Galaxy s21 ultra got the 5g all the time.
Cricket here! Were are sorry but your text message failed. Your destination is not supported from your current location.
I have a samsung galaxy s8 and have been on cricket network for 8 years. It has the latest security upgrades from Google/Samsung. I bought an iphone Xr for a family member last week on Total Wireless (Verizon network). I cannot send a text to her. Each time it says “Cricket here! Were are sorry but your text message failed. Your destination is not supported from your current location”. I also cannot call her. It says “ Sorry, we could not connect your call. Please check the number.“ However she is able to call and text me without issues. I contacted cricket and they said my phone is OK. I contacted total wireless and said it must be my phone. I do not have any problems calling/texting coworkers with verizon/iphones. Any suggestions?
My husband and I have been Cricket customers for about a year now.For the most part we have been happy with service and especially the price. My husband was using a unlocked phone(Samsung s20 not a cricket phone) and decided on a different one so I was going to take the s20 and use it ,once his sim was removed and mine put in there it was no longer compatable with Cricket Network!!!! WHAT?? We have been using this phone for the whole time we have been Cricket customers it was compatable when we activated the phone because we did it at a cricket store!!! So shame on you for encouraging people to BYOD,then you dont want to hold up your end of the deal!!! I'm thinking you will lose lots of customers over this if you dont make things right SOON!!!!
2 out of 5 Galaxy models we have left in the house are F/FD international models.Anyone have luck getting VOLTE and Wireless Calling working on these? My mother's S8 plus seems to be OK with WiFi calling, but no option for VOLTE. My A90 doesn't work with either feature.Always bought international models from eBay because they are cheaper. But it looks like Cricket only wants to support US versions?
If you have purchased a Cricket s20FE, do not update to Baseband G781USQU3DUCB, their latest OTA update. Your device will begin disabling the backlighting on your screen and begin to flicker when under bright areas (outside) when you have adaptive brightness, or anything higher than 80% brightness enabled outside. My temporary solution is to disable adaptive brightness and keep it at 60-70%, and hopefully Cricket will release the G781USQU3DUD4 (April 20) OTA update.I have tested this on 3 devices so far, and even flashed this firmware on an unlocked s20FE.On a related note, I have noticed Cricket's baseband versions are identical to At&T's. So I am not sure why they are 3 versions behind from At&t, or if you can flash to their firmware. Is it possible to pop an ATT sim inside the device to get the OTA update?
