Cricket Free Msg: Important! Your current phone will no longer work when we shut down our 3G network in February 2022. We are here to assist with upgrade options. To help with the upgrade process, we may re-direct your call to customer service. After January 8th, we may temporarily suspend your service in order to speak to you. You can avoid service disruption by visiting https://www.cricketwireless.com/3Gshutdown, dialing 611, or visiting your nearest Cricket store. Thank you! I have two phones on Cricket for several years. Samsung S7 and Moto G Power. Both were unlocked versions purchased directly from the manufacturer in the USA. Last Friday I received text above on Samsung Galaxy S7 phone about network upgrade. Started looking into things and the IMEI numbers for both phones failed the upgrade check on both ATT and Cricket web sites. Both of these phones do 4G, LTE, and use voLTE/ARM-WB (HD Voice). As long as the device supports AMR-WB, then HD voice is possible on 4G. It’s
If you have purchased a Cricket s20FE, do not update to Baseband G781USQU3DUCB, their latest OTA update. Your device will begin disabling the backlighting on your screen and begin to flicker when under bright areas (outside) when you have adaptive brightness, or anything higher than 80% brightness enabled outside. My temporary solution is to disable adaptive brightness and keep it at 60-70%, and hopefully Cricket will release the G781USQU3DUD4 (April 20) OTA update.I have tested this on 3 devices so far, and even flashed this firmware on an unlocked s20FE.On a related note, I have noticed Cricket's baseband versions are identical to At&T's. So I am not sure why they are 3 versions behind from At&t, or if you can flash to their firmware. Is it possible to pop an ATT sim inside the device to get the OTA update?
I have cricket and am on the 55 dollar unlimited plan. Most stuff works ok but lately downloading apps from the google play store literally takes HOURS. Downloading apps over wifi is very fast as expected. For example downloading the uber app (less than 60mb) took me over an hour. I have full bars and other stuff like internet YouTube and stuff works fine but downloading or updating apps is excruciatingly slow. I've talked with technical support from cricket and also with tech support from google play and have been unable to resolve the issue. Have tried everything. The phone is 8 months old and is in excellent condition. My bill is due on the 15th and I am planning on porting my number and switching to boost mobile tomorrow. I've talked to countless techs from Google and cricket and my problem persists.
I just couldn’t believe my Note 9 and wife’s S9 aren’t on the whitelist? So we have to switch to another carrier?Am I understanding it wrong? The phones are still 100% perfect, nothing is wrong and is capable of 4G. in order to continue using Cricket, we have to buy two new phones? We started with Cricket because we did not like being locked and now Cricket want to enforce the arbitrary and ridiculous phone change? I am not seeing we can buy two new phones before Feb. Sad we have been with Cricket for so long.
Starting sometime midday 5/7/19 I stopped receiving all MMS messages. I assumed that was the extent of the problem but it turns out I am not receiving standard SMS messages from all but, as far as I can tell 4 numbers. I have an S7 and have tried the default Samsung messages app and the Google messages app that I normally use. Below is part of my message to customer support. I am still waiting for a response from them, in the meantime does anyone else have any suggestions? Some more info on the issue I am having is that I am not receiving messages. I thought it was just group (MMS) messages at first but have discovered today that i also am not receiving messages directly from a single sender (SMS i assume). I know that I missed messages from a Galaxy 8 Note (?) that I believe is on AT&T, a newer Iphone on AT&T, another newer Iphone on an unknown network, Galaxy S6 on AT&T. The only two numbers that i have found to be able to receive messages from are a Galaxy S7
So I got an old Galaxy from cricket yeah I get it it hasn't been active for the whole 6 months but it's been active for two months I've been with Cricket a little over a year I have two other phones from cricket that is a lot and they unlocked it before the 6 months because the one phone right before I got my Galaxy only had it for 2 months and the Galaxy I've had for like two and a half months but I don't use it no more so why can't I get it unlocked I have another sim card that I need to keep active to keep the service on me and also I'm using four different carriers right now to see who I like better so far TracFone is out I don't mind staying with Cricket they're the best so far other than the unlocking policy even if it's an old phone unlocked
Will the new Samsung Galaxy S21 FE 5G (Factory Unlocked) be compatible for use on the Cricket Network?I don't need to see the compatibility list. This phone is a new release. Cricket does sell the S21 FE 5G, but my fiancé ordered the 256gb unlocked version directly from Samsung.
My wife has the Samsung S9 and she just got the Android P update last night. My son has the Samsung S9+ but hasn't received the update even though it's out. We went into settings and did the manual search but it says it's up to date. When will the S9+ get the Android P update?
Since getting my phone from Sprint, it's been in an OtterBox. A few drops, but past that, she's been steady in my hands. Well I took off the case and feel like I have a new phone. I forgot how beautiful the porcelain white back glassrouterlogin is contrasting against the black of the camera protruding ever so slightly. The front screen, the sides. I'm discovering this phone all over again. So any of you guys still have your cases on or taken them off, and if so how's it been? Any drops, near-drops, or an OCD-helicopter-parent grip?192.168.0.1
I have an S5 with a Cricket account. I would like to change to using an S8 while keeping my Cricket number.Since it is a used phone, I cannot upgrade. So, I saw I could request a new sim card for a different device on my current line.If I go this route and order a new sim card for the S8 (keeping my number) does that make the S8 the device now for the line? What happens to my S5?Can I then use my S5 to add an additional line and order a new sim card for the S5 as a new number? Or will it still be linked to the original account and not be available to use as a new line?
I just migrated my kids from the Samsung J7 V from Verizon over to the Samsung Halo 32gb here on Cricket. The two phones are identical except the Halo has twice as much memory which is making my kids very happy. However one item that they have noticed missing is the button on the top tray to turn mobile data on or off. They are in the habit of always turnning mobile data off when they connect to a wireless network so they don't go over their limit.Where is that button on these Halo phones?
Sometime around the beginning of March, I purchased a factory unlocked Galaxy S8. Prior to the purchase, I checked with cricket to ensure that the phone would be compatible with their service - I was assured that it would. Phone arrived, and I set it up with no issue - or so I thought. The next nay someone informed me that they had been trying to call me but my phone went straight to VM.A bit odd, I thought, and attempted to call them...and the call would not go through. All Data services were working, the phone showed connected to the cricket network, but I could not make calls. I tried everything I knew to do, reset settings, restarted the phone, etc, to no avail and so I contacted customer support. After literal hours or trying this setting and that setting, the support person informed me that my phone was NOT compatible with cricket service and I’d have to buy a new one. But I verified that it was compatible? To which they replied, “Oh, yes, the phone is compatible with our service
The question to answer is, “How can Cricket make the phones on the “white list” actually work and be compatible or will Cricket offer discounts in cases where we, loyal customers, purchased phones that are on that list and turn out not to be compatible?--If you can text and not talk, it probably has something to do with the change AT&T made to dropping 3G and you phone not supporting HD LTE or such. My phone is on Cricket’s “white list” as compatible. Once I ordered it, (from an independent source) the IEMI comes up as not compatible. ????I spoke with one Cricket service member and they went by the book. “Not compatible, nothing we can do.” Then when I spoke with someone via the online-phone conference, that support person said, “Yes, it’s on the list, even though the IEMI doesn’t work, it will work. He said he was going to change something around and sent the sim card and charged me my first month for the added line and the sim card. Surprise! The phone texts but doesn’t ca

Why does the 5g network that is out now being so shitty as of recently?I go from 5g one minute to LTE then to 4g the nxt. I want to either get this fix or yall need to stop advertising that yall have the best 5g network until u can get this fix cause it messes up my game and thats the whole reason y i went with this phone is for the faster network and storage space.
Everything works great with my new Samsung A32 5G phone except the hotspot. They have refreshed the network, reset the network settings on my phone, swapped sims and on and on. Still no luck. Anyone else having issues? Mobile data is on and works. Anywhere from 80 to 280 download speeds. Hotspot just will not work. And yes I'm on the more plan which has the hotspot. Thanks
