International Samsung Galaxy models on Cricket with upcoming 3G retirement
2 out of 5 Galaxy models we have left in the house are F/FD international models.Anyone have luck getting VOLTE and Wireless Calling working on these? My mother's S8 plus seems to be OK with WiFi calling, but no option for VOLTE. My A90 doesn't work with either feature.Always bought international models from eBay because they are cheaper. But it looks like Cricket only wants to support US versions?
text tones for contacts
I used to have different texting tones which was songs for all my contacts so when I heard the tone I knew who was texting me but now that I did the latest update I cannot figure out how to do that? Is there a way to do it or did I lose that feature in the update? I have a Samsung galaxy a11
wifi connection in hotels/restaurants doesn't work !!!
Hi,when I'm in a hotel or a restaurant, I can't get connect to the wifi because I can't get the page with the login! The wifi seems to connect but as the login page is not displayed it won't work. It's very annoying now. My phone is a galaxy j2 pure. I can't uncheck the box to turn-off the wifi manager.Thanks for your help
junky phone new 4 days old not working
I'm furious. I changed to cricket because their service was better than straight talk. But boy was I lied to. Completely. I got a POS phone that same day I got it froze for ten minutes at a time and the signal only allowed me 5 minutes before it just disappeared. I call to replace this POS phone with a new one as I have to have it for my business. EVERY SINGLE DAY. I'm informed 4 days after getting it, my options are return the phone and get my money back but I will lose my phone number that I brought with me. Or send this one in and wait 2-3 days for a replacement and have no phone AGAIN I NEED MY PHONE EVERY SINGLE DAY. Thank God I am the only one I switched because this is NOT good service. I will switch to someone else and this POS will show up on your counter at a store. And the friends I told I will be calling now to tell then NOOOOOO. It's a scam. Take care because I'm done
Google Messages RCS
Hi. I've recently noticed that my RCS stopped working with Google Messages. It now says trying to verify number and just get stuck on that. I've tried resetting the app and clearing data of carrier services and uninstalling and reinstalling the apps to no avail. I've tried swapping sims but no help as well. Does anyone know how to fix this?
Voice delay on out of state calls
Anytime I have a call with someone outside of my state (I'm in PA), there's a delay. Lile, when you watch the news and there's a delay between the newscasters. I've tried turning off wi-fi calling, thinking that might be the issue but it's not. It's getting to the point where I'm considering a new service provider. Any ideas?
Battery degradation or usage pattern?
I havea pesky A20, with around 4000mAh battery. Earlier is used to get around 21 hr of battery, i knew it would degrade... But then i uhttps://19216811.cam/ se my phone lightly for the next few days and it goes up to 15.I used to get a regular 13hrs usage when it showed my that i have 17hrs of battery...What is happening, is the battery actually degrading or it's all just about the usage... And how much more will it drop?I'm very particular about battery life so some tips to save battery would be welcome.(I was gifted this phone, har no choice. And i would have to spend next 3,4 yrs with it)
Phone interrupts me daily wanting an update but won't use my data. i don't have wifi.
Phone interrupts me 2 or 3x daily wanting an update, but refuses to use my data. Gives me 2 options 1) get on wifi now to update. Or 2)temporarily put this notification off for a little while- but it always comes back.I have my phone set to only update with my data because I have no wifi access at all & am not planning on buying any.So I am getting really frustrated because I don't know what to do. These interruptions of course always happen at the worst possible moment and interferes with whatever I'm working on. It's a Samsung a11 i think. I asked the Samsung people and they said it's not them so I'd need to talk to my carrier. Which is Cricket. So Cricket-- why don't you just let me get this update with my data Like I Always Do...? Galaxy S9 SM-G960-U security update
SOS someone has fallen asleep at the wheel there has not been a update for Samsung Galaxy S9 phones since November 2020....… Current FirmwareBaseband: G960USQU8FTK2 (Highly outdated) I would have never bought the phone if I knew Cricket was going to abandon all security firmware updates leaving its users wide open for hackers....... (My employer says I cannot use it for work because its a security risk and has been exploited back in January 2021) I know a employee probably will not help is there any users that know of work around I'm presuming I will have to hook it up to a computer and update the phone myself because I'm sure Samsung removed the cricket bloatware and mandatory apps from firmware updates And it's probably the only reason it's not being updated because they cannot obtain user information with it from unlocked phones
unable to receive picture messages or group messages on android
Since upcoming my phone and switching to cricket I cannot receive picture messages or participate in group messages. I don't even have an mms option in my settings. I have a galaxy s20. When I was with at&t it worked fine, I switched to spectrum mobile (thru verizon) and had horrible service, so then I switched to cricket. Great service, just can't receive pics or do group messages. Can anybody help?
Samsung A32 5G hotspot issues
Everything works great with my new Samsung A32 5G phone except the hotspot. They have refreshed the network, reset the network settings on my phone, swapped sims and on and on. Still no luck. Anyone else having issues? Mobile data is on and works. Anywhere from 80 to 280 download speeds. Hotspot just will not work. And yes I'm on the more plan which has the hotspot. Thanks
Like most of you my wife and I had to upgrade our phones when Cricket made their big update/upgrade or whatever they are passing it off as now a few months ago. I purchased her a Samsung A71 and we stopped at the Cricket store immediately afterward so I just had the Cricket CSR swap the SIM and activate it. She did and I took the time to VERIFY(EVEN THOUGH THE IMEI CHECKER CONFIRMED IT WAS COMPATIBLE) the Hotspot worked because she and I pay for an extra 15g a month because we work mobile a great deal. Everything WORKED. Fast forward to last week and I had noticed a spike in our Hotspot data usage on her phone and because of the increase I wanted to see if it was something we were doing. I went online and talked to support and when I realized the bill was due the next day I paid it. I was out of town and only had my travel credit/debit card so I did a bridge split payment at the CSR's suggestion so I could look over everything and if there was an error it could be subtracted or added t
Cricket forcing existing customers to purchase phones from them.
I just purchased an unlocked S20 FE, direct from Samsung. I have also been using Cricket Wireless for about 3 years now, with an unlocked S9 Plus. However, after putting my SIM card in the S20 FE, I received a message that the device is not compatible with their network. When I made a call to Cricket's customer service, I was told that there is nothing they can do to activate my new phone with their network. Even though Cricket offers the exact same phone for sale, through their website! It seems like Cricket is moving toward forcing their customers to purchase phones through them. Which is a shame, because that is going to force me to do business with a different wireless network.

Cricket sold me a terrible phone
About a year ago my wife and I upgraded our phones. My wife is happy with hers, but I am not with mine. I use my phone a bit differently than most people. I have damaged vocal cords so it is hard for me to be understood on a cell phone, which is why I have most of my conversations via my home phone. So I use my cell for texting, mapping, and taking pictures. I had an LG phone which served me well but had a terrible camera. I upgraded it to a Galaxy A11 and the only thing I like about this one is the camera. Otherwise it is the lousiest phone I have ever had. Even though I actually don’t use it a lot, I still have to recharge it every 36 hours, even if it just sits on my desk. You can literally set the phone in front of you and watch the battery discharge another 1% every few minutes. It seems to be the only Android phone on the market without a magnetometer, so I can’t install a compass. It doesn’t have an indicator light so I never know if a message or a call has come in un
Not receiving texts
This has been happening to me on and off for 3 months randomly. I can't receive texts for a day or two no matter what I do. I've restored my phone multiple times (which is only a year old), I've reset network settings, I've had customer service refresh me on the network multiple times, I've reset apn settings, I've bought a new sim. Everything. Customer service submits tickets and essentially I get told they don't know why it's happening. From the looks of the community forum, it doesn't look like I'm alone as several others say they've experienced the same...so obviously this is a cricket issue. I am about to contact the BBB and potentially a lawyer as I am paying for a service that I have to go several days without being able to use because of THEIR issue with no real help from them. I have actively been looking for another provider because I've come to the conclusion that cricket has no intentions of fixing this issue and can only offer an apology to me.
