I just purchased from Samsung an unlocked Galaxy Z Flip3 5G phone. I live in a 5G area but have yet to see a 5G connection. I get LTE but that is it. Do I need an upgraded SIM card? The one I am using is the one that I got a couple of years ago.

Hello @bloop1000! Welcome to our Cricket Community Forum and thank you for your post. We see that your Samsung Galaxy Z Flip3 5G device is indeed compatible with our 5G network. If you are not receiving 5G on your device, we are happy to check further into this for you to see what the issue might be. We will be sure to private message you for further assistance :grinning:

Ah but it is listed there.  If you click on “See BYOD compatible devices” you will see it almost at the bottom of the Samsung list.

My Flip3 had 5g in some spots. Though it mostly had lte+ and the 5g speeds matched the lte+ speeds so it really didn’t matter to me on my end, I resorted to using T-Mobile since their 5g actually has a noticeable difference in download and upload speeds and consistent coverage that wouldn’t keep toggling to lte.

Also had to resort to tmobile because for some reason our unlocked z flip3 did not have mobile hotspot with cricket and was told via support that it wasnt on their list of compatible devices for mobile hotspot, nor would they know if it would ever be added….
