phone wont let me make or recive calls

Badge

I have 4 lines on my plan. We all have the same phones. Both mine and my daughter's lines won't make or receive phone calls. We can text and use data. I have tried switching my sim card to another phone which is also on my plan that is working. That phone would not work with my sim card in it. I have tried driving to another spot closer into town still won't work. I tried turning my phone off and on that didn't work. I tried taking my sim card out that didn't work. I tried clearing the cache that didn't work. I tried to call can't make any calls. I tried to chat held on the chat for over 20 minutes. Then got disconnected.  Now they are closed. They are not even open for technical support. This is ridiculous. My bill is paid up. I checked my software is up to date. Here I've been without phones for a day now. This is the biggest crock of#$it ever.

Doing the same thing for me. My boyfriends phone is working perfectly. This is the 3rd time this has happened. If they want us to upgrade our phones then they need to pay for a upgrade that is equal value and quality as the phones we have now. I'm tired of this shit compnay!

I just want say It may be possible Here are some reasons why WiFi calling may not be working: The WiFi calling setting is turned off in your phone's settings. You don't have a WiFi network connection. Your device will prioritize a network connection over WiFi when the connection is strong enough to make and receive calls.

Over the past 3 or 4 days, I have been unable to make or receive calls. I had not installed or updated any apps. I've tried rebooting multiple times and ended up doing a factory reset and rooting the phone.

A post was made in an LG phone subreddit that had this exact problem 6 months ago. Updating/downgrading the Google App helped them
Vapes n Smokes. I tried this method but was un successful.

Problem: When trying to make a call, it immediately hangs up. When someone calls me, it goes straight to voicemail.
I can still text and use mobile data.

Another post on reddit suggested manually changing Network Mode from automatic to GSM. I switched to GSM/UMTS (don’t have the GSM option) and it worked for a couple of days. But that stopped worked last night.

LG G8 Unlocked Sprint Model on ATT network. Had the phone for 2 years. Still on Android 10 version. 11 not available yet.

Sometimes toggling on and off the Airplane or flight mode button can re-establish your cellular connection. May need to have cricket reprogram your SIM. They can do that remotely. Also borrow a friend’s SIM, put it in your phone and see if that works. Might be your phone. If all that fails...get a sledge hammer and smash your phone to bits. Won’t solve your phone problem but very satisfying.

My mom's (73yrs old) phone service was completely shut off. No phone calls for the entire weekend (she not familiar with wifi calling). Mom went in-store on Monday and was told she needed to upgrade her phone. Mom of course complied and got a new phone {{{clapping}}}.

My 5G phone's HOTSPOT got shut off. Could not get it to work. Called 611 for help, NOTHING!! I too, also went in-store for an explanation. Guess? I need to upgrade my phone. WTF!! I have 3 lines on the 60 dollar automatic payment plan.

When they checked my phones last update, I only then realized that it was the same freakin day my HOTSPOT service was turned off.

So if you update your phone (software update) and find that some of your features not working, then you need to undo that last update or reset phone to factory setting. Back up your shit though first 😂

Guessing Cricket wants us to upgrade phones every 2 yrs it seems. Not against it. Just love the phone i have.

Here are a few more things you can try:

  • Check to see if there is a network outage in your area. You can usually do this by checking your carrier's website or social media pages.
  • Restart your phone.
  • Remove and reinsert your SIM card.
  • Try your SIM card in a different phone. If it works in a different phone, then the problem is likely with your phone. If it doesn't work in a different phone, then the problem is likely with your SIM card.

If you've tried all of the above and you're still having problems, then you'll need to contact your carrier for further support. Unfortunately, it sounds like they are not currently offering technical support, but they should be able to help you troubleshoot the issue over the phone or chat once they reopen.

In the meantime, here are a few things you can do to stay connected:

  • Use Wi-Fi calling to make and receive phone calls and text messages over a Wi-Fi connection.
  • Use a messaging app like WhatsApp or Telegram to send and receive text messages and make video calls.
  • Use a VoIP app like Google Voice or Skype to make and receive phone calls over the internet.

I hope this helps!

Being without phone service for a day, especially when you're paying for the service, is unacceptable. It's crucial to have a reliable phone connection for both personal and professional reasons.

Since you've already attempted basic troubleshooting steps without success, it's time to contact your carrier's customer support. It's unfortunate that they're currently closed, but they should have a 24/7 support line for technical issues.

Here are some specific steps you can take to resolve the issue:

  1. Contact your carrier's customer support as soon as they open. Explain the issue in detail, mentioning all the troubleshooting steps you've already tried.

  2. Provide them with your account information and the specific phone numbers that are experiencing the problem.

  3. Ask if there are any known network issues in your area that could be causing the problem.

  4. If there are no known network issues, they should be able to further investigate the problem and provide you with a resolution.

  5. If the issue is resolved, confirm with the customer support representative that both your line and your daughter's line can now make and receive calls without any problems.

  6. If the issue persists, request to speak to a supervisor or escalate the issue to a higher level of support.

  7. Document your interactions with customer support, including the date, time, and names of the representatives you spoke with. This documentation will be helpful if you need to follow up or escalate the issue further.

Remember, you're a paying koows customer, and it's your right to receive reliable service. Don't hesitate to pursue a resolution until your phone service is fully functional.

Have you considered reaching out to your service provider's social media channels for immediate assistance? They might be able to provide support even if their traditional support channels are closed.
