S8 update to android pie

I have a galaxy s8 g950u on version g950usuq4cre9 and I have been told that I should be able to update to android 9, but cannot seem to do so, is there a specific reason for the exclusion of this update to this phone?

Hi @Qseger. Thanks for using the Cricket forum. Please review the documents and steps listed on the Samsung S8 Software support page at https://www.cricketwireless.com/support/devices-and-accessories/samsung-galaxy-s8-device-support/customer/device-support.html . It gives instructions on opening and downloading the latest software update. 

I have already done this, the update isn't getting pushed through. I am not on the latest version.
Did you ever get any resolution? Just curious what service provider is listed in your phone. Mine is AIO even though I bought my phone at a cricket store. I wonder if that has anything to do with why there is no update coming through since AIO is no longer an active entity.

I am sorry I am just seeing this. You have my exact situation. i finally gave up and bought a new phone. After multiple visits to the cricket store, speaking to Samsung and being sent to best buy where I was told they couldn't help me I was beaten down and gave up.
