S8 update to android pie?

I have a galaxy s8 g950u on version g950usuq4cre9 and VidMate I have been told that I should be able to update to android 9, but cannot seem to do so, is there a specific reason for the exclusion of this update to this phone?  word counter

@ConnerLawson I've never heard of that software version, lol..But I do know that software updates are pushed to your device from the manufacturer, and not your wireless provider. I would contact Samsung- especially if you aren't using a Cricket phone.

Hi @ConnerLawson Welcome to our Cricket Community Forum! We recommend making sure that the device is connected to a secure Wi-Fi network and automatic updates are turned on. Most of the time updates will take place when the device has been on the charger for an extended period of time.
