s9 Phone won't connect to data

I can use wi-fi just fine but once I get out of range, my data wont kick in. My phone will just decide I have to reconnect to wi-fi. This is pretty annoying if I try to pull up my insurance card to a cop “because i’m not connected to wi-fi” OR i’m trying to use maps. Data is enabled on the phone (it’s not turned off) but it won’t actually work

Is this a phone issue or a Cricket issue? Anyone know how to help me?

If you are not able to use mobile data in a specific area, there may be a tower outage in the area that could be impacting data services. If you are unable to use data services in any area, then it could be an issue with device or SIM card.
