Unlocked 5g compatible phones

When will unlocked phones that have 5g capabilities be able to use the 5g network? I have a Samsung S20 Ultra Unlocked, from Samsung. Please don't respond with a list of 5g compatible phones or a map of the 5g coverage as I have gotten that response almost every time I've asked. Thanks so much!

The s20 Ultra and Note 20 Ultra factory unlocked from Samsung works, however I don't think its fully supported yet. I have the s20 Ultra unlocked and I have 5G but I can't connect to 5G+ even when in a spot where I am in direct line of the node/cell site. As for the regular 5G, it's low-band and basically the same as LTE. 5G+ which is mmw is what's special, but is very limited.

Yeah, support just keeps saying I won't be able to access 5G services. I have a factory unlocked S20 Ultra as well. But if it really isn't usable I dont see the purpose of upgrading. Are you in a 5G+ area, or just 5G? Sorry if you had already stated.

I had a Samsung Galaxy A71 5G and it was factory unlocked and I had mobile hotspot and 5G. I didn't do anything to the phone and it just picked 5G up by itself. All Cricket wants is for you to BUY your phone from them. I am not buying a phone from them that is maybe 20.00 less than retail price for them to lock the phone for 6 months. If the phone was free or half off then I'd be all for it but I am not paying retail and then being stuck with them.

Hi Kselgado I got an A71 5G unlocked for ATT . When I put Cricket sim in it works fine even have the volte toggle . Volte voice over lte is HD.  Then the service stops get a message saying its incompatible with the network . It then suspends my account.  Do you still have yours or know how to get it working ? Cricket says its not HD compatible, yes it is .  If anyone from Cricket can help me I would appreciate it.

I was thinking about buying same thing off ebay.  Did you ever get it fixed?
