Verizon to cricket text messages, not following still hitting old phone.

Good morning, and thank you for a place to come to.

I'm helping my friend who is Korean and I translate for him, he was with Verizon for a long time and just had everything transferred over to cricket.

I'm very intuitive with Android phones, but cannot seem to find the correct settings or problem to repair why his text messages are still hitting his old phone number on his old phone and not the new phone number, Verizon said they transferred to cricket.

Hi@Notmereallyand welcome to the Community Forum! If your friend has a new Cricket number, he most likely will not receive any text messages that are sent to his old Verizon number. However, if he ported his Verizon number to Cricket, he should be receiving his text messages on his new Cricket device. Sometimes customers have what we call, “mixed service”until theirnumber transfer is completed. This means that your old device may receive calls while the new device can make calls. This is due to the time it takes for your phone number to move through all the systems between your current wireless company and Cricket.
