Wont unlock my 2 year old phone

I purchased Samsung Amp Prime phone from cricket. I used it for a while and moved on to apple phone (without using it for 6 months as they claim to be the criteria for unlocking the phone)

now I’ve had the amp prime for more than 2 years and every now and then I use it but obviously won’t give up my apple for using prime as a primary phone right?

Now I want to travel abroad with both my phones and they won’t unlock that phone ! I called the customer service and they’re not helping. I know this is not going to help too, it’s really sucky service and feels like they trap you in it. I’m really unhappy.

Hi @cdedhia

Thanks for posting. Our devices are eligible for unlock when it has been active for at least six months of paid service on that device. We are happy to review unlock eligibility, feel free to reach out to our support team on Facebook (m.me/cricketwireless) or Twitter (@cricketsupport) with your wireless number, name on the account, and IMEI.

Did they ever help you? I’m in the same situation, had the one with cricket for two years. But now, I’m stuck in a foreign country where I can’t communicate at all with a worthless phone that can’t be used with a SIM card from this country because cricket can’t seem to figure out how to give me a code. Not only me, but my husband is here with me, Same exact thing with his phone.

The me of these that I read in here, the more hopeless I’m getting. The theme I’ve noticed is that people meet all unlocking requirements, but cricket refuses to help, but posts really nice little replies to people stating that if you’ll cash, they’ll be so happy to help. I spent several hours of my life on this today, and they finally promised to look into it and call me back within the hour. Yea… that never happened.
