Can i still use WiFi if dont pay for service

Hello was wondering if anyone can help with these two questions i have because i am considering using Cricket.

First question is, are the phone plans have contracts?

And if I were not able to pay for service, will Cricket deactivate my phone rendering it completely useless as to where i can not use my phone's Wifi?

@Crickeyy Cricket is prepaid and there are no contracts. Also, no cell phone company is allowed to block you from using your phone for Wi-Fi.
